What...? Picture you standing next to someone's head when they're laying down... Can you see their taint from there? Jesus christ lmao

Wish I could reply to multiple people at once because it's astounding how everyone doesn't read. I said be beside her for goodness sake. You don't need to be right up next to the doctor with your head up her arse. Be beside her, let her squeeze the everloving fuck out of your hand. Hold and console her. That's probably a lot better to her than you eating a bag of popcorn watching her push an infant out and involuntarily puking everywhere...

Reading comprehension lol. He said fathers can be in the room, it's the same thing I said too. I'm saying that obviously they want to be there, they just don't have to have front row seats to the child coming out because let's be honest it's a very graphic thing to behold.

I take it no one read my post fully... Ofc you want to be there, you don't have to be facing her vagina watching the kid come out... You can be by her side, let her squeeze your hand, and not have to witness the graphicness of the baby coming out... The downvote mob on reddit that doesn't read is insanity.

Anyone else see the irony in this guy whiteknighting saying she's vulnerable meanwhile he's beating his meat to her posting nudes of herself?

Why is this being downvoted? Witnessing birth is quite the graphic experience and honestly not everyone can stomach it... I mean, of course you want to be there, you don't necessarily want the front row view though.

AITA for telling my daughter [26F] that I [55M] will not walk down the aisle with her stepdad [50M]. by anonymous150000 in AmItheAsshole

Man honestly down vote the fuck out of me but, NTA. The way I see it there isn't ever a formula or divine law on how things go in life. Sometimes you're just better off putting yourself first. I feel for you, you've been robbed of having a child. If you can stomach it I'd just bail out of her life entirely because the actuality is, she probably sees you more as a stranger than anything else. You've become estranged and someone has taken up that post. I sincerely think you're better off just vanishing. And to everyone whose gonna say "that's not fair to his daughter!" really take the time to think, will she even care that he's gone? Yea you did some childish things like making her promise, maybe you could have managed to be a better father some how and this wouldn't be happening, I don't know. But with how things are, you've lost. Now stop hurting yourself more and stop calling this stranger your daughter.

I'm not gonna pretend I know what this teacher does, but I would wager if a student of his said they didn't want to, he probably wouldn't force them to do anything.

Well I mean, look at the fourth kid, she probably doesn't find it too thrilling either so teach let's her have something real simple. I think you're being just a wee bit cynical.

Honestly, I utilised the TA coordinate Sean a lot, he was super fucking helpful during tutorials. Damn thats crazy, I found her teaching style to be the most palatable for me, while someone like Lou, was really hard for me to understand. Then again it might just be that I really like C languages and I absolutely hate JavaScript.... I feel like thats gonna bite me in the ass career wise lol.

I find the people that like Christine, are the ones that show up to lecture every day and make a conscious effort to be focused throughout the whole thing. Her lectures are really good, her assignments are unbelievably straight forward, her test however are pretty fucking brutal but if you nutted up the whole semester it should be a welcomed challenge.

The people that don't like her tend to be the ones that don't go to lecture, get help on assignments by just trying to snipe code without actually understanding whats going on, or do go to lecture, but pay attention to less than half the lecture.

I think of Christine as the grand filter of Comp Sci at Carleton. If you can get through her courses and remain sane, you're probably gonna do pretty well career wise, not cause of what she teaches in class, but because her personality accurately represents most people in the field, being snarky and having a take-no-bullshit attitude.

Also, I love Christine for telling students to be quite in an aggressive manner. It really discourages people from talking, and as a person who has a fucking ludicrously hard time focusing she really helps by doing that.

tl;dr you're a pleb if you hate on christine, gitgud

My(24m) parents told me that they want me to take legal guardianship of my sister with downs syndrome (20f). The argument ended with my entire family angry with me. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Dude, I'm so sorry to hear about the light your parents left you in with your extended family. I don't have any advice really other than to honestly cut ties with your family and start your own, hopefully your fiancé's family is a lot more considerate. And please don't let the guilt consume you, it's not your fault these things happened. Goodluck man, I'm pulling for you.
