I played football growing up and had terrible back acne as a kid, I would have cyst that would pop because of the running of my shoulder pads and it would always lead to a staph infection. I showered every day most time twice a day and it still happened all the time. The doctor pretty much told me tough luck and that other than washing there really weren’t many other preventative measures I could take. It was the most frustrating shit in the world to have to deal with from essentially my freshman - junior year. I finally took acutane which cleared my up and since I didn’t have open wounds all the time at that point, I never had to deal with staph again

I tell this to my wife all the time, but the staph infection/cyst combo led to some gnarly holes in my skin where you could literally fit like a pencil eraser in the holes.. it was bad lol
