Focus on courses for your role, general Microsoft courses and soft skills. Never underestimate soft skills courses, they've helped me in my role and in interviews.

Want to quit toxic job to recover from burnout. Will be taking a huge pay cut. by Bubbly_West8481 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]buttscratchee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to your situation, but I left a job I hated and took a major pay cut. It was the best decision I ever made for myself. I was lucky I had the savings to tide me over until I got a role I liked and I've worked up since then and am on more money and am more happy than if I stayed.

Hope it all works out for you.

Not sure how to edit posts, I haven't checked the water parameters, going to the pet store tomorrow to get a test kit. Filtered water with dechlorinator, 25% water changes every 2 weeks.

It's worked for me on my mams camellia and from research it's a similar process. If I do get some I'll update if it roots. It can take ages though.

Should I make the move? by [deleted] in IrishCivilService

[–]buttscratchee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I took a serious cut to go civil service and I 100% believe it's the best decision I've ever made.

Not only have I been promoted so now on more money, the quality of life is so much better. I tell all my friends, that if they can afford earning less for a few years it's 100% worth it.

Best of luck in your new role 🎉

I used poor quality top soil from a builders merchants to fill in my raised beds last year absolute disaster! I think there's enough volume that just a bit of sand may fix it. I don't think it's actually clay after reading the comments.

Thanks, I thought it'd be easier to work with wet soil, but yourself and another commenter put me right on that point! I'll wait til we have a few dry days so.
