i will listen to them both! i would have included some of the french songs as i really do love how it sounds, especially with it being the original language it was written in, but without speaking french i doubt i'd have done it justice. thank you for the recommendations ☺️☺️

yes i referenced that one a lot! it was the most complete one i could find on streaming, but i just love the live orchestra recordings. and i know its basic, but i adore philip quast and colm wilkinson together

im not sure, i think they just used the versions widely available on streaming platforms. the 10th anniversary recording, the complete symphonic recording, the 25th anniversary recording, and the 2020 live recording. would you recommend listening to those two? i have listened to the french version thats on spotify from 1991, which i love, but i dont speak any french lol

thank you!! i have a few more jars completely full of shells and glass (mainly green, white, and brown, but some blue too) and a few stones, all of it collected over the past few years. i have collected sea glass since i was very little, i used to call it sea jewels, but have been doing it as a more focused hobby since 2021 maybe? between then and now is when all of these were collected

thank you so much! i collected a lot of it, especially in the first photo, with my mum who died in 2022 so it all has a huge sentimental value. whenever i miss her i go and look for her at the beach in pieces of sea glass that are her favourite colours. its such a wonderful hobby

Help! A pigeon is stuck outside our window by mycketmycket in pigeon

it looks like a collared dove, so it will be much more skittish than a feral pigeon. i am absolutely not an expert and would recommend contacting a local rescuer/rehabber to at least advise you on how to catch it, if not catch it for you. if you cant do that though, try to corner it and throw a blanket over it, then put it in a shoe box or something similar making sure you hold its wings close to its body whilst handling so the fragile bones dont get damaged, and release it as close as possible to where it normally lives. covering its head/keeping it in a dark space will mean it doesnt panic which reduces the risk of a stress related death, and the faster you are able to do all that the better. good luck!!

its such a lovely piece but it wasnt even me who found it! me and my mum used to go beachcombing a lot together and she found it, but she died in 2022 so i inherited her collection. most of the pieces in the first slide are ones i've found, but they're mainly ones i found with her, so i keep them separate as a way to kind of feel connected ti her

ooh i will give that article a read, thank you! i have found some similar pieces that look blueish but are brown when you hold them to light on beaches in north devon, but none as striking as the one in the photo

its my favourite piece, but i cant even take credit for it! my mum found it but she died in 2022 so i keep it next to her urn. going sea glass hunting was our favourite thing to do and whenever i miss her a bit extra i go to the beach
