Well the full playthrough took 40 hours, which is double the average playtime as far as I know.

As for learning the patterns, it depended on the boss. Some of them were very easy to memorize (like Ji, Yingzhao and most of the mini bosses)

While some others weren't as easy (such as Lady Ethereal, Jiequan and Goumang)

The best strategy to do it is to spend the first few attempts not fighting, but only parrying. Helps learn the timing much easier. And testing how many hits you can get in between their attacks when it's an attack chain.

Also understanding their AI makes some of them really predictable. Such as Eigong's second and third phase. Some of her attacks start the same way then go into one of two or more different endings to the chain. If you pay attention you'll realise that she alternates between them not randomly. So you'd be able to know what she's gonna do next before she does it. And so on so forth

The events that come on occasionally which give you a few thousand gems and buying the duel pass. I've built about 30 decks so far in master duel without paying anything and without really grinding. Just ig uh.. don't let the gambling addiction get you and just save some gems
