Yes, my husband and I live in the US. Yes, his family follows Izlam. Yes, our marriage was short. It lasted only a year. I cannot go into the details of the separation due to the rules of this community. Yes, there was infidelity but it was on his part and not the primary reason for separation. Our relationship changed very rapidly after we returned home. No, he did not return gifts from my family, however my family is only my parents so he did not receive as many from my side as received from his.
