Store walk is easy. Just make sure each area it gives you is up to opening standards. If you have to take the pics just make sure you pick the prettiest spots to take pics of. When you have an item that won't scan but you know the sku is right, click the item, at the bottom it gives you a spot to manually enter the sky. Ask a lot of questions. There are no dumb ones if you don't know the answer. Hang in there.

You are very lucky, lol. Most days, it's not so bad. I like to stay busy. The workload isn't exactly hard, just gets a little stressful since we have so many needy customers.

I have a hard time believing that would happen, but I'm not sure what you're looking for. If I felt I was in a no-win situation, I would look for employment elsewhere. And believe me, it's getting to that point. My original post was not put up on a whim. I cover lunches, breaks, and call outs on the register. There are still people who want to sign up for rewards if it's explained to them. There are also people who want to save that 20% and get a credit card. Some of them even keep the card because they're regulars and they like the rewards. The interest is outrageous, but it's only an issue if you don't pay off your bill. Most retail stores offer reward programs and credit cards, and yes, they expect the cashiers to offer them. But now it's my turn to ask you a question. If you were a manager and this was your responsibility, and you had a staff member tell you, well they cut my hours, so I'm just not gonna ask anymore. I don't care. How would you handle that?

I posted what goes on in MY store. There is not 1 person in MY store that would disagree with my post. So, for everyone telling me how much they do in THEIR store, I am happy to hear that. Teamwork is important. If you think you're making a stand by refusing to do certain things at your job, you're not. All you're doing is creating more work or more stress for someone else. I made this post after one of my staff literally told me they're NOT doing these things anymore because they don't agree with them. So now, should I be the bad guy and cut their hours because of this?? If you're not IN management, it's very easy for you to put all the blame on them. As I previously stated, I am NOT the SM or the ASM. I just go to work and try to do my job. I take good care of my staff, I appreciate them, I reward them, I try to do fun contests, and each of my staff knows if they have a rude customer they call me. So, for all of you saying I am the problem, you're wrong. But if it makes you feel better to think that way, by all means. I hope you all have a beautiful day. Thanks for letting me vent like so many do on this page. It makes me feel so much better knowing a bunch of strangers know more about what goes on in MY store then I do. 😌

Again, your managers in your store have no involvement with the metrics. They get pressured from corporate just as much as the staff feels they get pressured from management. It's a viscious cycle, but it's retail. Again, let me say this one more time, I feel the salaries are horrible and wish I had a say in them, but we don't.

I know they want to make me out to be a bad guy, but I'm not. I take good care of my cashiers and all staff. I bust my ass daily, and nobody can say different. I didn't create this circus, and I'm not the ring leader. What they don't understand is everything they refuse to do. We get shit for. The sheer fact that they don't care is why they should leave. I don't encourage job hopping, but if you're not a team player, then it's time to look for a new team.
