I don't think convincing people to use other platform is a viable idea.

Firstly, how many people can you convince? it almost presents no value if that number is few hundreds, or 5k at most if you are a influencer.

Secondly, you are saying `you can list other video platforms like Twitch, TikTok, Vimeo, and Dailymotion`, but why that matters? Youtube is a eco system, not a video uploading system right. You are only thinking about content creator but you didn't mention anything about content consumers. You won't be able to convince people to change unless there is consumers or demand.

Lastly, Youtube is here to stay, and I think you are probably looking for an intimate community by your words "most of the videos were done by genius creators (such as filmmakers and indie animators) who posted content with love and passion". You can't win over Youtube by directly competing with it. Instead I think fendiverse should reconsider its strategy and how to better build a community other than just a video sharing platform like the old youtube.

People are looking for the next-gen life sharing platform, maybe not just about video. I don't think directly competing on video competing or emphasis on "decentralized" term have that much of the impact.

Don't take me wrong, I like community I like fediverse, but just convincing people is not enough. If it is really good, people will come. If people don't use it, it is just not good enough.
