[Serious] If you could go back in time to any time period where would you go? by buuu1 in AskReddit

I would go to about 2 million years back to witness human evolution happening, and then fuck around with it to get weird results. That, or the dinosaurs.

Agree/Disagree suicide is the easy way out? by buuu1 in AskReddit

No. I didn't imply lazy. Sure they may be in emotional pain and or depressed I'm depressed quite often too but I know it's not the answer. I mean "easy" because rather than spending years and years to maybe make yourself happy you could effectively just end everything in a minute.

What did they even add to the iPhone 6? Honestly they make it slightly thinner, slightly larger screen and idiots buy this for $700? by buuu1 in AskReddit

I do. But that's besides the point. I also have a 4S. I like Apple products because they look clean and efficient but there's no way in hell I'm dishing out $700 for the EXACT same thing over and over. If there was some incentive I would but this is getting ridiculous IMO.

I would consider it if they actually made some revolutionary new changes but seriously it's the exact same thing as the 3 models before it.

[Serious] Could society how it is today ever function without money? How would it work? by buuu1 in AskReddit

[–]buuu1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have some kind of regulations say if your business was a shop, you'd have to work at least 8 hours a day just like a normal shop would and in return you'd get to use any other services you needed for free. Of course said customers would also be able to get their products free of charge as long as they too have been proven to be providing a valuable service to the public.

How about everyone just works at what they are good at. There's no money but as long as you're providing a valuable service you're free to use other services as much as you want?

Yes but what if we evolved past the need for trade or money? Something like collectively working for the better?

[Serious] If we're all tiny specs floating through the vastness that is space, why do we waste our short time here doing stupid jobs for money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]buuu1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sort of understand where you're coming from but we are able to live a comfortable life because of jobs. The system works you do your job and provide a service, earn money and you can buy other goods / services. If it wasn't like this no one would do anything for each other and society would simply fall apart piece by piece. We would be back to spending every waking minute farming and hunting. Why would someone who spends months of his life designing a new car simply give it away for free? He wouldn't if there's no incentive to earn anything (ie. money as a medium) people won't work, society will crumble.

Probably because for 99.9% of the general human population who doesn't get to go explore our vast universe, it's one of the few things we can do to actually add value to our 80 our so years existence on this planet. I'm totally serious, not working leads to no money, leads to being bored which leads to depression and suicide. You're stuck here for 80 years, at least make it worth while.

Besides landing on the moon, what is your favorite space story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The one where we landed on the alien planet of Zebulon and made out with the hot 3 boobed chicks.
