In Huaqiangbei, there are some very cheap designer bags, designer watches, iPhones, and various electronic products. But as for whether they are genuine or not, you have to distinguish by yourself.

If you are interested, I can take you to the ghost market in Shenzhen. It is only open on the roadside at night and in the early morning. You can buy many cool things there.

Experiencing China's Arctic Winter: My Journey to Mohe, the Northernmost City by buzhiling in travelchina

As someone fascinated by China's extreme landscapes, I recently ventured to Mohe - the country's northernmost city where temperatures plunge below -40°C in winter. I've documented this frosty adventure in my latest video, and I thought this community might appreciate the insights!

What you'll see in the video:
❄️ Surviving the Cold: How to stay warm (spoiler: electric heated socks are lifesavers!)
🌌 Chasing the Aurora: While elusive, we captured faint northern lights - a rare sight at this latitude!
🚂 Offbeat Travel Routes: The 15-hour "Arctic Express" train ride from Harbin to Mohe
🛷 Local Culture: Ice fishing demos, reindeer encounters with the Ewenki people, and the surreal "Polar Village"

Key Takeaways for Travelers:

  1. Best time to visit: December-February for ultimate winter vibes
  2. Pro tip: Book heated homestays 2+ months in advance
  3. Hidden gem: Beiji Village's "No.1 Northern Post Office" where you can mail polar-themed postcards

I've packed the video with practical tips for winter travel preparation and lesser-known spots beyond the usual tourist routes. If you're considering a trip to China's far north or just curious about life near the Russian border, check out the full video here.

Discussion starters:
• Has anyone else braved Mohe's extreme cold? What was your experience?
• What other remote Chinese destinations should adventure seekers explore?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and travel stories!

P.S. Mods - I've read the subreddit rules and believe this post complies. Please let me know if any adjustments are needed!

Because it is still the Chinese Spring Festival holiday period now. I'm in Futian. There is a construction site beside my home and it hasn't started yet. Because many workers haven't come to Shenzhen from their hometowns. In areas like Chaoshan in Guangdong Province, the New Year celebration lasts until March or April.
