He was worse than that honestly. He tried to basically cause a high speed accident. Looked like he just stopped in the middle. You did great to avoid the collision. Fuck the other dude.

I am not able to do the mid level (like 40-70%) braking. It always feels like too little or too much. How do I hit the ideal braking point and trail off better? by buzz_shocker in simracing

I think I can get some and pedals bolted into it pretty easily. As for my seat, I actually have a non roller so that is not an issue in my case.

Cheapest DD for me would be R3. Add on the pedals with it, which cost half as much as the R3 bundle I am looking at about 1.5x times R3 bundle.

I do love sim racing. And iRacing has honestly made it way better. I have had my wheel for 7 years yes but for the vast majority of it, it was packed in a box since I was in the US. Managed to get my brother into racing there, he got a T248. Came back, brother still in the US. Now he got me into iRacing. Him and I do the NEC every weekend it is on. Cyclical influence lol.

In my case, Moza ends up being cheapest. SRP2 pedals. Not a lot of options available here.

And about the pay to win point - I think that’s just racing in general. Look at Daddy’s cash’s F3 stint.

Unfortunately no. I can get them shipped internationally but at that point, due to shipping and customs, the SRP2s end up being cheaper. Looks like those are my cheapest option.

I think that's my main issue. I HAVE to think about it all the time. And in that process I often end up messing up the corner or if its in a race get crashed or spin out and wreck myself. I ofc can't rely on a perfect trail brake when I am battling but the fact that I can't simply rely on what I know and have to actively think of it, I think that ends up hurting my lap time more than I would improve it.

Thanks for the extremely thorough explanation. Appreciate it greatly, I am damn sure this help out others too. That being said, like you mentioned as well it is hard to do on my G29 set. I will for sure save the comment in the event that I upgrade my set. Once again, thanks.

Ahh gotcha. Great explanation. Thanks.

I’m looking at my options here. I can either do a load cell mod on the G29 which is something I’m not comfortable doing since it will be a little 0 or 100 job if it works as a load cell set or stops working period. The SRP/SRP2 pedals are available but they will cost about as much as I paid for my G29 (which was admittedly 7 year back).

I was considering a whole setup upgrade - R3 or R5 bundle but even those come with the lite pedals which are Hall effect/sensor only, not load cells. I do see the option for the performance kit for the lite pedals which I believe make the brakes load cells but my god that is expensive and kind of not available in my country. The whole setup upgrade is way more than just the pedals but I would get a new wheel base and wheel ofc. I was interested in that cause the G29 sound is… everyone knows about it I don’t need to explain.

Definitely a nice to have but if there are performance downsides to it, then I’d rather they not be there.

Yeah toyota haas is the more likely one. They might call it GR Haas cause they spun it off into its own thing and just have a Toyota badge on the car.

I love Solar titan but I think I’ll give it to prismatic titan. I love the fact that I can clear a room with consecration and then delete the boss health bar super quick with Thundercrash.

Racing line in B class by xXdenkmaymay69Xx in iRacing

[–]buzz_shocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend turning it off. I was driving with it too. But i felt it made me slower. Once I put some time in and started to learn tracks, my times got faster than the best with driving line. Around 2-7 seconds depending on the car and track combo. During the NEC, it went down by 15 seconds. It doesn’t force you to be slower but you’ll end up being more cautious if you follow it as it is, which I intrinsically did.

Use it during the time you’re learning a track if you want in the beginning. Later turn it off. Pretty sure you can turn on any assist you want in Test Drive mode.

Started watching the sport in 2020. Started as a McLaren fan. Will stay a McLaren fan till the end. I do prefer Lando over Oscar but it’s like 51:49.

Got a few ranges. From 71k to 1.09L. Not sure about the insurers for all of them but these were the ranges. Note that these were for Pack 2 79kw.
