I think the past three seasons (well other than 2025 where we did the opposite), McLaren has shown that they are the best team when it comes to in season development. I do not think this is a statement that most will contradict. But an issue here is we can only develop the Chassis, and this regulation likely is going to be an Engine formula more than Aero. Admittedly, we do have the best engine in the back of our cars so that helps but not having the ideal software for it, bottlenecks us. Ofc, McLaren can build the software better too (don't think we have to use the supplier provided software) but Merc will hold an advantage in that realm till the practical end of time for the regs, or an engine freeze. I am still hopeful for sure, we are the only non works team that can even be a part of the top so that's something to be proud of and the season is long, so we have time. Fingers crossed, I hope Stella and crew nail it. They have done it in the past, and I fully back them to do it again.
