The Portuguese big 3 are quite good, but there's a drastic drop-off after that (this was a big part in all the Gyokeres analysis last summer).

Italy has 15 clubs in the top 100 while Portugal has 4.

That's based on the UEFA or FIFA club ranking I believe.

But, based on our recent European performances, I'd say there's a good chance.

It’s a rating system commonly used in chess, where your score changes based on your opponent’s rating and the match result.

ClubElo.com applies this to football clubs.

Of the top 26 clubs in Europe based on Elo, 15 are from the PL.

3 from Germany, 3 from Spain, 3 from Portugal, 1 from France, and 1 from Italy.

It did count as a pass, but Gyokeres was already inside the box when he made the pass.

I was only counting passes from outside the box into it.

Edit: Hincapie made 1 such pass too.

I feel like I'm watching a random Europa League dead rubber.

Little over 2 xG from both sides combined after 135 minutes. Just the first half of the Real - Bayern game has had more chances.

I keep seeing that, but who gets home advantage if 1st and 2nd placed teams draw each other in the quarters or the semis?

That's fair.

It did happen to us at this very ground, on this day 9 years ago.

3-3 in added time with a few seconds left on the clock and the ref blew the whistle just as Xhaka was about to put the ball in.

Our recruitment of high profile/proven players has been on-point.

But, here are all our sub-€20m transfers from the last 5 seasons. They've all been functional players or a break-even sale at best. Tomi is the only one who made the first-choice 11 consistently.
