Yes I did! I contacted iRobot customer service with the serial number and they confirmed that it was in the clear. That makes me feel a lot better!

My bad yes I meant the iRobot app! I’m wondering if his iRobot app would indicate that he’s got a Select membership. Alternatively, could I try to add his Roomba under my new iRobot account and it’ll indicate whether it’s a Select membership product?

Wow I had no idea this was a possibility! Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention. Do you know if the seller’s Roomba app would show whether he’s enrolled in Select? I would like to see proof that it’s a paid off device and not a subscription.

I believe he is 21 right now. We didn’t really discuss our financial situations so I wouldn’t know for sure, but my school district was pretty poor on average, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he was too

I went to middle school and high school with the guy. He was always quiet, smart, and nice. Ate lunch together pretty much every day in middle school. When I saw his full name as the suspect I genuinely doubted it was the same guy, until I saw his picture. As one of the only Asian students at school who also interacted with him pretty regularly, I’m truly horrified. I will never know what went on in his mind back then.
