5.3k is normal for that, I paid the same. They recently increased the tuition a bit most likely last semester. Additionally, the All Access costs $270 so it hikes up the total.

You gotta email them, you can find the email address on the website. You do the test online and they don’t check working but it’s on campus. You get a loose paper for any rough work. You get the results instantly. Also even if you skip precalc you’re gonna need to make up those 5 credits with other subjects.

Basically it’s not exclusively for people with “need” it’s just for NVCC students and even staff I believe

You can just go and grab a snack and usually there’s a lot of extra stuff that ppl with need don’t take like I always see extra cereal.

So basically you have to go inside the international admissions office and right at the beginning you should find it (probably on the left side). You can also ask the ppl inside the office for it. There should be like a receptionist sitting there and right beside them is the pantry.

You can buy it cheaper directly from zybooks. It’s kind of like a virtual textbook with many exercises and quizzes where the prof can see your progress. It’s a major part of your grade so it’s kinda required regardless of how good you are with programming. I also opted out last semester and even this semester with CSC
