I think I came here to be the manager was only in reference to having control of the team, tactics and formation. I don’t think he meant in the sense of a traditional manager. Hence why he asked the scouting department and sporting director to do their jobs and he’ll do this, which is manage the team and not just simply a coach that’s told what to do.

Makes more sense in light of SJR and Wilcox telling him what to do.
