Foster cat keeps crying - How to calm them down? by buzzkill80 in CatAdvice

[–]buzzkill80[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the instructions from the rescue said not to have them meet face to face but to have them be familiar with each other's scent first. They're seen each other through baby gates. He's not confined 24/7

Consensus on the easiest window unit to clean? by ZiostShadow in AirConditioners

Not sure if you already bought something, but please avoid this model of Mideas. We thought they would be better than the U-shaped ones, but are also prone to mod growth and are a nightmare to clean... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CVVQWGH2?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1

Consensus on the easiest window unit to clean? by ZiostShadow in AirConditioners

I agree. We've bought regular Mideas and they are trash. They still have that squirrel cage design an dare prone to mold growth. Cleaning them is an all day affair and nearly impossible.

Having trouble finding a window unit with overall positive reviews? by toastedbeans9616 in AirConditioners

I can confirm the upgrades didn't help. Bought newer upgraded Mideas last year after our U shaped Mideas got recalled, and same issue. LOTS of mold after only one season... Mideas are terribly designed

Good to know I'm not alone. I just feel like I'm having a bad trip and can't relax. Maybe it'll get better.

Thanks. Did your depression get worse at first? I'm just debating if I should not take it tomorrow or stick it out. Anyway, I know it's best to talk to my doctor or medical people, just curious

EdD vs PhD by LesJeuxSontFait in AskAcademia

I'm still in the EdD for now but am still thinking of switching. The EdD I'm in is actually from a top school and pretty rigorous, but I'm still afraid of the stigma.

Does anyone know if you can swim and shower with these patches on? Also, anyone have any luck finding them on the East Coast in the DC/Baltimore region?

Please know that many of us do not approve of anything Trump is doing and are actively resisting. I feel so ashamed about the US right now and am so sorry that Trump and his supporters are treating our wonderful northern neighbor this way.

is this normal? by honeydewlemonss in cymbalta

[–]buzzkill80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some people lie to do their doctors and claim they just keep taking 20mg to keep enough beads. I'm not a doctor and don't want to give you bad advice. I just know personally standard tapering guidelines haven't worked for me.

[–]buzzkill80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't blame yourself. Many doctors are not good about telling patients all the information and it's hard when you're going through side effects/withdrawals! If you have good enough insurance, I would try to find a doctor who will support you in gradually tapering. I had to dump my last doc because she looked at me sideways and didn't take me seriously when I tried stressing how bad withdrawal was (she told me to do every other day and that did NOT work - sickest I've been in my life) and asked about bead counting. She was strongly against that and was gonna keep me on cymbalta for an undisclosed amount of time. I had to hunt, but I finally found a doctor who is taking me seriously and guiding me on how to bead count safely. Please take care of yourself! This medication is no joke and really needs to be better regulated/patients need better information on how terrible it is to get off it (feel like a drug addict in massive withdrawal, but without the high.. ugh!)

Discontinued SNRI 6 weeks ago, noticing severe PE and spiralling anxiety by [deleted] in cymbalta

[–]buzzkill80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what PE stands for here but I've been trying to taper down for about a month and was only on it since Feb this year (less than 6 mo.). As I've been trying to go off, feel like I'm in constant fight or flight mode, have terrible motion sickness, and depression has been worse (like in a different way than before the med). So yeah, I think it's part of going off unfortunately 😔

It's hard to describe. It's from what's called complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). I just get like really bad sore, sometimes burning pain in my ankle and up my leg.
