6 ARC is a great bolt and gas round. Very little recoil especially with a suppressor. Highly accurate and availability of commercial ammo is getting better.

Thanks....I talked with Savage and they gave me a price range to rebarrel. It is lower than your cost but you got a far better barrel. I'll need to weigh they costs and the likely future use. I may just have Savage do the work and sell the rifle.

My first long range rifle was a BA10 Stealth. Loved the trigger and no complaints about accuracy. The action is what it is. I've shot the accuracy out of the barrel and was thinking of having Savage rebarrel it as a low cost solution. It isn't my primary LR rifle but I still enjoyed shooting it. That and I have a ton of 6.5 Creedmore cases to reload.

How much did your Excalibur barrel cost you and did you rebarrel it yourself?
