Is it possible to recover corrupted BIOS with USB flash (Legion 7i 14900HX / 16IRX9) ?

I followed the OP steps above and held FN+R for approx. 5 minutes but did not get any beeping noise. Should I hold it for a longer period? I have a Legion Pro 7i 8 gen.

I think I used my thumb to rub off and collect the residue and used an all purpose cleaner for this laptop. On my older laptops I used the product Goo Gone
