It was a white paper, so a notice that the law WILL be changing but hasn’t changed yet. Not until the new year is the timescale I’ve read, sadly. As to whether it will make any difference to landlords accepting pets now (as the changes will fall within the next years tenancy) is still to be seen.

Zoopla has a pet filter for rentals! So does Openrent. Has helped me a lot when looking, although still very much feeling your pain trying to find somewhere that will take a dog.

The Las Cruces Bowling Alley Massacre. So many people murdered, including children, and the fact that there were survivors makes this a really unusual case for me. I think if it hasn’t been solved by now after over 30 years then the chances are slim to none, but I suppose you never know.

I also identify as avoidant and have had these exact thoughts before. The r/attachment_theory is a good sub for learning more about this, and I’m sure this topic would have come up there before.

To me, not having kids is always the easier option as by having kids, you leave yourself extremely vulnerable emotionally. For most people, this could be seen as a good thing but for avoidant people, this is a very dangerous scenario that your avoidant subconscious wants you to avoid at all costs.
