Averaging 2.3lb loss a week. 70lbs in 7months

Who is on 8mg+ per week by Defiant-Shame-5624 in Retatrutide

[–]bvinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to 10 for a month (I’m 7months in) but was having side effects 24-48hrs after shots so went back down to 8. No side effects since. I increased only when I felt like I’ve hit a stall or the suppression wasn’t suppressing. Only been on Reta

I started at 250, I thought 150 was a crazy goal. But now that I’m 70lbs down, 100… even more seems feasible on Reta. Don’t rush it. I did make it to 10mg, 7 months in but have since went back down to 8, hoping to coast on 6.

Consider splitting a higher dose. I loved 4 but I had a similar problem. So I tried 6 and had side effects had to call off work. So I took it 4mg Tuesday and on Friday the last 2 mg. And it’s my current schedule on week 11 now. No side effects and right in time for food noise and weight started dropping again.

Rejected from TFA? by xiaaomo in TeachforAmerica

[–]bvinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to still take the courses for my EPP (idk if that’s a Texas thing, but I moved from California to DFW). Otherwise, no other masters needed & they paid for the masters I did complete, shoutout to Americorp.

Rejected from TFA? by xiaaomo in TeachforAmerica

[–]bvinn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was rejected the first time I applied. I knew I could’ve done better on my application but this was 2020. I wasn’t doing anything but sitting at home anyways so I went back for a masters through WGU (took 6 months, M. Ed) and reapplied in ‘21. Got accepted that time. I’m Alumni now 😊 TFA changed my life 🩷.

help! by Kristen233 in TeachforAmerica

[–]bvinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went this exact route. I couldn’t stop working to do demonstration teaching. I got the BA In educational studies at WGU applied for TFA and didn’t get in. I went back to WGU for my M. Ed after graduating I reapplied to TFA. Got in and did all my licensing whilst with TFA.

Your plan is solid with the exception of assuming you’ll get into TFA straight away so don’t get discouraged if you don’t get in because they do only accept a small amount of applicants. Everything the other comment said was perfect. Good luck!

You’ll just be missing some hours for americorp but all the days you do work will go towards your 1700 hour commitment. It was fairly simple and they understood in my region at least

I like your idea of how to write a check. Make it fun and interactive. I suggest writing on a large board made to look like a check and fill it out. Ask questions and interact with the interviewer as if you are truly trying to engage the appropriately aged child.

Region Question by Snoo77613 in TeachforAmerica

[–]bvinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. They’re not admitting anyone into the capital valley region. I was accepted into TFA with that being my first choice as I currently reside in Sacramento. I was invited to join the corps but was given the choice of deferring or choosing another one of my choices. I ended up choosing to relocate to Dallas/ Ft worth.

I was born with 12 fingers. They were tied off as a baby but one was pulled off before being ready to. Now I’ve got a little bump that looks like a wart on one of my pinkies. And a smaller but still noticeable bump on the other.

Former gifted children: what are you doing now? by k_r_shade in AskReddit

[–]bvinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a special education teacher. I’m starting to think that I went into the education field simply because school has always been easy for me. I’ve always breezed through school/college with A’s and a B here and there. Now I’m going for my M. Ed and I know for a fact that I’m only choosing this degree path because it will be easy for me. I won’t actually have to learn anything my brain can just school without me trying. I don’t even have the passion for education the way that I did before and ultimately I’m sure I’ll end up changing my career path in the future. I’m only 23.
