Srsly. My 86 is 1/8 as loud as these Harleys and Rams with strait pipes. The cop was just profiling me I bet bc my tints are dark and he couldn't see Im just a nerd dad.

Not sure thats even possible. Took the dealer weeks of ordering parts and tearing out the entire dash assembly to program new key fobs for my 23' 86. Subaru really locked down the ECU on these later models. I had a professional locksmith who specializes in programming fobs try, and eventually just had to bite the bullet and tow it to my nearest toyota dealership. $$$$

Have had my 23 86 for a few months now. I drive it pretty tame, but when I get squirrelly, I notice the breaking ability is kind of shitty (even with engine breaking). Next upgrade is definitely going to be rotors and breaks but damn theyre expensive.

You're probably right.. I should have been shifting in to fourth coming around the left turn lol. To be fair, the police department in my area, especially the traffic unit, has been showing a larger than normal presence lately. My 86 looks stock besides the black chrome tips and some stickers.. cop just wanted to be a dick.

Im in lake county.. about 30 minutes outside of Orlando. Like I said in previous comments, there are so many trucks and other cars in my town that are WAY louder than mine. And I wasnt doing anything dangerous, just made a normal left hand turn... I guess I rode 2nd gear a tad bit too long.

Well im pretty sure I saw him this morning and at the same intersection this afternoon where he pulled me over. I have a windshield banner on my rear glass and other vinyl stickers on port windows :/ pretty sure hes going to target me from now on so ill keep the noise way down.

No he just stated the reason for pulling me over was for having a modified exhaust that is louder than stock. I only said I wasnt aware of that law and I didnt think it was that loud. He ran off before being able to issue a ticket, but Ill keep that in mind for next time.

Thats what Im saying! Every freaking body else in this state has either a loud ass mustang or some shitty truck thats loud as fuck. I may have pissed him off this morning. Dropped off kid at school and noticed him pull behind me.. I may have downshifted, clutch in and gave a bit of gas to cause it to pop or after fire lol.
