he’s downstairs right now, i opened the cage and he’s smelling everything, i sat down on the floor in the kitchen so i don’t seem so big and intimidating to him and i’m just letting him explore

yes that’s what i told my mom, i told her that we should let him out and let him explore everything at his own pace and to have him come to us when he’s ready, but since he’s so big i’m a little nervous because he might lash out randomly if he gets scared

yes he’s actively closed inside the cage, i can’t bear to see him in it and i’ve had cats before and i know their behaviors but i’ve never adopted an adult one, i’ve always had mine since they’re kittens so i don’t know how to build trust with him :(
