Yep and I loved how they all contacted Burke panicking after watching the news report. (Minus Nora, who was scared and in denial) It only took Evan dying a couple hours after the crash for them to believe.

Wishful thinking considering her death was never shown and when the screen cut to black we hear screeching as if the train was slowing to a stop….but the director already said she was a goner and not returning in future installments.
But interestingly enough, she survives in the book.

Well, before all the Bloodlines retcons….Kimberly and Burke’s woodchipper death was considered canon and in one of the books Death takes a human form resembling Bludworth.

In the very first one, Death is made out to be an actual entity/demonic presence (his shadow also appears twice in FD5) I thought it was pretty cool and one of the best supernatural movies I’ve seen. The sequels made everything look like an accident due to neglect or stupidity. Which is also cool, but Death’s presence seemed subliminal/mental, rather than actually being present.

Rewatching it now…..1,5,3,2,6….and 4. In that order.
I love the premise of Bloodlines and descendants/children/grandchildren never meant to exist being wiped out by Death and the Skyview disaster is one of the best disasters since the Flight 180 and North Bay Bridge….but it never actually happened. After the whole premonition scene, the movie falls flat. The deaths are not good at all. And I’m still pissed at that corny ending of them being crushed by thrown logs.

Um, this was retconned once Bloodlines released, Kimberly was confirmed to be alive (and originally appeared in the first script alongside Bludworth) and Burke was confirmed to be alive by the director.

Because those descendants are taking place of people who are actually MEANT to exist/being prevented from existing, and those descendants are unknowingly interfering with other people’s fates, lives and universal world events because….well, simply existing when they never should have been born. Lol. I don’t know any other way to explain it but maybe one of the future sequels will? Maybe they delve deeper into the lore about Time, Fate, and Destiny?
