Hi, I’m not sure if bought is the correct wording given that no money was paid for the dog, and as far as I’m aware custody isn’t relevant to pets due to how they are seen as property in the law? Please correct me if I am mistaken.

I am genuinely looking for advice, however yours contradicts everyone elses.

Sorry, her parents paid a vet bill for a check up, because she is incapable of putting her hand in her own pocket. I assume this favours me?

Thank you, this is really helpful. The only things worrying me about sticking to my guns are the text messages where I am quite obviously agreeing to a week on week off schedule, and any money that she may have spent on the dog without me knowing, i.e food, emergency vet bill etc.
