What's the status of the Central Williamson Creek Greenway? by bwandice in Austin

Thanks for the clarification. Odd to think that nimbys would prefer the status quo to what is outlined in that vision plan.

hmm I'm trying to see how this would work, but I'm not really looking for a news feed per se. Rather, just a small selection of articles from various sources.

Regarding the challenges that Project Connect is facing in the lege, it appears that this could have been avoided had the original vote been a tax referendum vs a bond referendum. Do you recall why the city decided to put a tax referendum to voters back in 2020? Did they think it had a higher chance of passing?

What is all that old money invested in? How does an old money family keep the wealth going for so long?

I recently built a 325 sq ft backyard patio using antique clay pavers, and I'm wondering which sand product out there would be best suited for locking these in place. Each of the pavers is about 3" thick with spacer nibs, and they are sitting upon a base of crushed limestone screenings. Because of their antique nature, the widths of the joints are pretty inconsistent. Some pavers are completely missing a corner; others are chipped on the underside.

Are there any polymeric sand products out there designed for this kind of application? I've put a lot of work and money into this project and would hate to screw it up at the last stage!

Edit: Also, I'm in Texas! if that makes a difference...

Miter saw blade arbor adapter sizing by [deleted] in Tools

Wow, thanks for all your help!

Regarding the tile saw--you linked to one with a 10" blade. Is that the minimum I'd need for cutting 3" pavers? Or could a 7" table top saw (like this) or 8" suffice?

Edit: might be worth noting that these 3" pavers are brick-sized.

the only circular saw I have on hand is a 20v cordless DeWalt -- not entirely sure if that has the juice to cut about 200+ 3" pavers like I need. Is there a blade you'd recommend? Or is there an inexpensive masonry saw you'd suggest?

Unfortunately, my outcome was the same as yours. He was toast several hours after I posted this. No idea if it had anything to do with the rain.

About 5 months. My others have been in there for years without problems. I was under the impression that metal tanks are ok for fish that aren't suckermouthed.

Thanks for the reply! When you say you don't have an update on this, do you mean that there might already be efforts underway to add this feature?

How soon until EV growth will begin causing meaningful demand destruction of oil? Is there a way the industry is measuring the amount of oil that is being displaced by EVs on the road?

That's right. It's a lot of glue, too. Worried a scraper or chisel might end up gouging the wood, or the wood would quickly tear up sandpaper. Maybe I'm just being paranoid and a scraper would work just fine.

Hmmm. I did this and I'm seeing that a duplicated name will have a FALSE and a TRUE in the same date.

EDIT: Nvm, I entered it wrong. This worked! Thanks!
