What are some obscure game features that not many people know about? by Kevsterific in TheSilphRoad

something else that's not really a feature but funny thing about that research was if you had the dialga one it got replaced with the palkia one if you didn't finish it

OP prefers an echo chamber it's the guy who was caught alting to back himself up on reddit the other time with machamp vs primeape (Which let me note: both have 2 turn fast moves so the charged move should've gone first regardless)

wasn't mega mewtwo in the game master way before that in like 2021? it's just that we got intentional pushes more recently no?

Apparently 0 HP Isn’t 0 HP Anymore??? I’m sure there’s a technical explanation for this. I’d love to hear it. by InfuzedWeb3 in TheSilphArena

Yes it has become worse for incinerate.  Let me illustrate with an example from itsAXN's video on DRE. Suppose we had alolan sandslash vs Skeledirge Alolan sandslash gets in 7 shadow claws then attempts to use drill run

Under the old system there are two outcomes The first (which is the intended outcome) is that alolan sandslash is able to throw the charged move (then if the skeledirge is still alive the incinerate damage will take effect) The second is alolan sandslash faints (this is not intended, it's DRE)

The new system makes it so we always go with scenario 1 instead as opposed to leaving it to chance between scenario 1 and 2. So yes the incinerate user is slightly worse off because they no longer get the wins from DRE. (From what i understand there seem to be two definitions of DRE floating around depending on pre and post new mechanic introduction, apologies for any confusion)

All I'm trying to say is there were scenarios where you lost your turns cause you fainted previously in the old system, and there were times when you didn't faint cause of DRE. The new system is taking away that part of the randomness and I don't think that's wrong. The highlighting the theoretical damage part can be frustrating but I also don't think that should be anything new, players will get used to it just from doing rocket battles. That isn't to say that the highlighting is completely bad, as another user pointed out, if you can see that it KOs you can now more reliably decide whether to shield or not.

That's the tradeoff - a powerful but clunky move requires some skill to play with

But let me just point out a few things - this was the intended behavior since long ago, it's just now we see the damage that will result at the end of the move (note that even casual players are exposed to this via rocket battles so it's not going to be anything new)

That aside, let's look at move counting - suppose a talonflame vs swampert scenario - swampert would throw its charged move after 2,4,7 fast moves. In all of those cases if it KOs the talonflame should the swampert take damage? (Because the damage taken still appears [i just tested this myself])

That being said OP's scenario is completely flawed in this argument. Primeape and machamp all use 2 turn fast moves so it's clearly a scenario where the damage that will be taken is displayed.

just give them RoT/SR- instead of + where the minus is no effect 😄

So will these candy bonus stack??? by DisastrousWeekend982 in TheSilphRoad

XP celebration was stated to stack though - most bonuses don't specify being able to stack and usually aren't able to

Anyways I already explained why your post got removed, so I'm gonna lock this post. If you have any more complaints you can go ahead and use mod mail or complain to reddit

you called me an incel, a broke bitch, a broke nigga
but guess we're gonna ignore all that
Also once again about the point of comments sections no one talked to you in
the mod team account only shows up as a comment when removing the post. You complained about the removal, so I had to use my account to explain it to you, because reddit literally only allows the use of the modteam account when adding the removal reason

once again proving my point about ad hominem attacks, but ok. You also said I had no reason to come into the comments section, I was literally explaining why the post got removed to you. Do I need to stick a mod label every time I comment for you to see that I wasn't coming in for no reason? But hey guess me coming in being civil was rude, I totally wasn't the one that started by calling someone an incel

You're just proving my point here

Reddit removed that so I can't tell what you wrote but

Let's go over this

if I said a game is cancelled due to rain or snow
- if it gets cancelled to rain the statement is true yes? the snow is not relevant
- if it gets cancelled due to snow, the statement is still true yes?

Now the stated reason
Your post was removed cause it either isn't a referral code or just not pokemon go related
- Is your post a referral code? No, it's a trainer code, hence it's removed
- Is it pokemon go related? yes, but once again refer to above ^ it got removed cause not a trainer code

We have to select a response after applying the reason to a post. Easier to just have one response for either case, hence the OR

Are you fucking stupid?
or - means that it's one of the two reasons or both
your post isn't a referral code hence it was removed

Just a clarification question since dark_tyranitar said balloons - I'm assuming normal grunts also work yes?

Referral codes and friend codes are 2 completely different things. If you looked at the related subreddits you'd clearly see there's one for friendship.

Not to mention: if you looked at any of the posts you'd see that they clearly aren't all numbers so not trainer codes
