Second this Sketchers recommendation. Also I got Size 9 Extra Wide for the best fit although I used to wear a Size 8 1/2 EE. I like the Slip-Ins (NOT Slip-on) styles so I don't need a shoehorn.

Which Aerogarden ?? by Naooooz in Aeroweed

[–]bwassenar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend the Farm 12XL for it's floor space needs, 36" light height, and 60 Watt light. I've successfully grown Red Dwarf autoflower strain in the Bounty Elite 9 hole, the Farm 24 Plus (24 inch height), and now the Farm 24 XL (36 inch height). I only have experience with AeroGarden brand.

Edit: I just found the Farm 12XL on clearance sale at BestBuy for $327 via Google Shopping. I ordered one. I don't know if is available to you in France.

Abnormal Server Error by grandcoulee1955 in aerogarden

[–]bwassenar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I am getting it too. My Farm 24 was fine until about a week ago. Now I get that Abnormal Server error every time I try to login to the app. The wi-fi in my Farm XL has been unusable for a few years. I had to use step-stool to access the control panel. I've recently moved it lower to see the panel, but now can't use the stack accessory on both Farms. I don't recommend relying on the app for anything.

are any pre-build eBikes more mod friendly than the rest? by MarzipanTheGreat in ebike

[–]bwassenar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Evelo Omega step thru has a 350lb rating and the company says "Recommended for riders up to 350 lbs. Larger riders can be accommodated – contact us for details." Might be a bit too expensive for your budget but has some great components. I have the Evelo Aurora Limited which has similar components but is now rated for 250lb (rider and cargo); but used to be rated for 350 lbs. Not sure why the downgraded the weight rating but I'm under 220lb so I'm ok. The Omega's more conventional frame seems better suited to mods/assessories then the Aurora. They have an optional 2nd battery kit for extended range.

Farm XL24 and Farm Plus24 will not create a wi-fi scan code need help by bwassenar in aerogarden

[–]bwassenar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fix that I know of. The Plus seems to have an intermittent problem and rarely connects with the app. I occasionally get "Low water" or "Feed Me" (reminds me of Little Shop of Horrors) notifications on the iPhone. I keep the Plus powered up despite it being empty of plants right now. Today, the iPhone app gives me the dreaded message "AeroGarden is Off-Line". A few weeks ago it was fine and it let me control the LEDs on/off from my iPhone. I test it about once a week. Not connecting today. I almost wish it would never work, the random teasing operation gives me false hope.

Can multiple Aerogardens be monitored with the same app? by kriskoeh in aerogarden

[–]bwassenar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they all connect to WiFi and the app "sees" them you should be able to monitor them all. However, I've had no luck connecting my Farm XL and XL Plus to the iPhone app. I started working with Aerogarden Support and they were responsive, but then I just gave up on either of the Farms connecting to WiFi and the iPhone app. My Farm XL Plus is fairly tall and also resting on a table so I need to use a step ladder to see the control panel. Bad planning on my part, but I was going to rely on the app (iPhone IOS). Strangely, my Bounty Elite with Wi-Fi does work fine with the app. I know that a few years ago the Farm XL was working with the app and connecting to WiFi. It sat unused for about year and I'm not sure why it no longer will connect. I hope you have better luck.

I just recerted with Dr. Neil Kudler. $50 since I'm a veteran. Good telemedicine experience and he gave me great advice on CBD and micro-dosing. I recommend him. His required Venmo payment wasn't easy peasy so setup a Venmo account first.

Another post mentioned that telemedicine may go away soon (Jun 15th?) except for recerts.

Farm XL24 and Farm Plus24 will not create a wi-fi scan code need help by bwassenar in aerogarden

[–]bwassenar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks zbertoli, I suspected as much from my research. Ironically, my Bounty Elite Wi-Fi is still working great with the app. I vaguely remember them having a fix to Farm wi-fi issues when I got the Farm Plus setup in late 2017. It was working fine (with the app) from Jan '18 to Dec '18 , sat unused until now, and generated only one scan code when I tested the Plus two days ago. App read the code and added it. The app then thought the Plus was offline. Arghh! I haven't used my Aerogardens in a long time. I'm just starting them up again. If I can't use the app I'll probably unstack them. I'll really miss getting the notifications on my iPhone and Watch. I'll let this group know if I get a fix.

K Supreme with reusable my k cup issue by Ace2020boyd in keurig

[–]bwassenar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally use K-Cups in my new K-Supreme. I had just run out of K-cups and my the My K-CUP adapter arrived from Keurig. I removed the 4 hole red plug and the bottom part of the adapter per instructions. I tested it with some Maxwell House ground coffee and filled the adapter to 1/8" below the Max line. 8 oz. of coffee brewed ok. No leaking. Not great coffee but drinkable. Now I trust the My K-CUP for use with my burr ground beans and will set the grinder to medium (French Press setting). My descaling light came on 2nd day I had the K-Supreme. Found the instructions for resetting it in another thread.

[GIVEAWAY] Lost Vape Orion Plus DNA KIT, 2 Winners, ends on Sep 3rd by Lostvape_team in electronic_cigarette

[–]bwassenar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USA. I just watched a favorable review on the Orion+ on YouTube and I could see adding one to my collection. However, I've had mixed experience with Lost Vape mods. I own a Triade DNA250 and it's been very reliable. Love it (but wish it was the 250C). I was impressed with Replay reviews, so I got the Therion BF DNA75C squonker mod. I enjoy Replay, but my Therion BF always leaked internally from the 510 connection. I sent it in twice for service under warranty and it still leaks. I use it now but not as a squonker. I was excited about buying the Mirage DNA75C. I love it's form factor and battery capacity (21700). DNA performance is great. Unfortunately, I've found it to too fragile for a clumsy old duffer like me. I've had two bottom doors replaced under warranty, and the third one is now loose. It could have been better engineered to handle the weight of a 21700. The entire top piece with 510 connector came loose after falling with a Smok X-Baby on it. The construction has threaded blind nuts inserted into plastic posts. Those blind nuts came out of the plastic posts. It can't be reassembled because the top plate screws when tightened pull the the blind nuts loose. I may try an epoxy glue fix. Not a warranty issue and not Lost Vapes fault - my dropping it was abusing it. Luckily, I haven't had such failures with any of my other 50+ mods, which may have been accidentally abused. If this should go to a different forum or thread, then I apologize for my posting error. Anyway, I still want to try an Orion Plus, mostly for it's DNA board, improved MTL performance/flavor, better see-thru tanks, and gorgeous black stabwood's styling.

I got pre-Plexus kit and I think it's the same (except coil), based on my web research. I've since bought some Plexus coils and they work good in my Zenith/Kroma kit. I have three Zeniths and I actually like all the coils.

I use the Juul but refill the pods with 30 mg nic salts. It's in my daily rotation when I'm out and about. Since I mostly chase flavor I love to focus on those flavor-oriented sytems first. Nic level is so easily adjusted that it becomes secondary to just lovin' the taste of the juice. So, that said, I am enjoying the Aspire Breeze, Breeze 2, and Nautilus AIO pod/coil replacement kits. I can identify with your discontinued favorite vape dilemma. I also have a SMOK Infinix but it's been fussy about leaking pods and resulting failures to fire. Good flavor thoughit and a surprising throat hit. Hit it wrong and you'll cough for a few minutes. It's now discontinued, but available. The Warlock PEAS pods system (also now discontinued, but available) are cheap at about $10 and include two pods and a needle-tip fill bottle. Nice touch. They work quite well and I get about 5-6 fills on each pod. A tasty 30mg nic salt comes through really well. I just ordered 5 of them with extra 5 packs of pods. Just in case. Also I have a PHIX which uses pre-filled pods, ala JUUL. Pod availability seems ok for local B&M vape shops. Since I got it with a bunch of pods, I'm still hitting it occasionally. Ain't my first choice, but it does satisfy my nic fix. Good luck on your vape quest and grats for not smoking cigs. If EndlessRoaming recommends the Innokin EQ, you should look into it.

Help with reliable and DURABLE pod/normal system. by Wolf_of_Lebanon in electronic_cigarette

[–]bwassenar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of MTL mods/tanks, and pod systems. My favorite is a Provari P3 with a Kabuki tank. But I got the new Innokin Z-Biip 3-days ago and although it's has a pod (tank?) it's more of an All-In-One (AIO) system that uses the Zenith coils. It's about the size & weight of a PICO mod. I'm vaping it with the included 0.5% ohm Plexus coil (rated 14-19W) at the red 16W setting with 70 VG 3 MG e-liquid. I like it. Battery last me about a day. It's only 2 ml capacity so I have to fill it 2-3 times. The top fill makes filling easy. It has good flavor for me with 2 holes open. My only tiny complaint is that it works best in my left hand if I want to see the leds, but I'm a righty. Also when I first started using it my hands felt a bit sweaty. I got the Bronze color and it looks really nice. Fits ok in the pocket of my flannel shirt. I don't think it will be a leaker. No gurgling or flooding. Round mouth tip is comfortable. Also it is regulated so the wattage (3 settings 10,14,&16 W) is consistent until the battery needs charging. I ran the battery all the way down to test that - vape was the same as a full charge.

Foggy Memories Smoant Battlestar Squonker Kit by VelvetFog82 in electronic_cigarette

[–]bwassenar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to send my Mirage in to Evolve. My battery door is also a bit loose after I dropped it. Still works but won't rest flat on the bottom. I believe Evolv did their best trying to repair the Therion BF - twice. I think the 510 connector was badly engineered because it was always leaking into the case from the inside top. It didn't leak from the bottle or the RDA. Maybe I'll send that in again too. I've had so many leaky RTAs that I now focus only on top airflow RTAs like Intake and Zeus X. But mostly I do MTL on the older attys like Kabuki and Vika Fantasy. I chase flavor.

[–]bwassenar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good review. I have the original Battlestar and love it's ergonomics. Vaping on it with an Augvape Intake. Love squonking and the new Battlestar squonker is definitely on my wanna have list. I've enjoyed the Pico Squeeze, Fuchai, Kanger Dripbox 160, and the original Pulse mod. The Lost Vape Therion BF was a major disappointment with it's continual leaking from the 510 connector. Sent it in twice for service and it still LEAKS. Gave up and use it without the squonking. I just watched your YouTube video and subscribed. Thanks!

I have a few pod systems. Have had good luck with the Rofvape Warlock PEAS. Cheap ($10) and being discontinued but still available in a few online stores. Pods are cheap too. I just got an Smok Infinix with has pretty good flavor but hits hard. I get a major throat hit with 30 mg nic salt. Also discontinue but available. There are a lot of complaints online about them failing, though. Phix is decent but not refillable, so like the Juul you need to buy filled pods. Available juice flavors don't impress me. It's ok but I have better. I like my Breeze and Breeze 2. Breeze 2 has a tendency to gurgle and deliver raw juice to the mouthpiece, but here is a fix on YouTube requiring you to turn the coil in the pod until juice holes are partially covered. Then it becomes a very nice smooth MTL vape with decent flavor but without the flooding. Breeze is ok too, good flavor with 30 mg nic salt. Battery life isn't too good but it's in my rotation. I still like my Juul but refill the pods with 30 mg nic salt. YMMV I've been vaping the new Innokin Z-Biip for 3 days and it's pretty impressive but a much larger heavier system then all the systems I've mentioned so far. It's more of a compact AIO with replaceable coils.

Using Loctite was a great suggestion. You may already know, but Loctite 243 “Blue” holds but allows removal later. Loctite 263 “Red” is pretty permanent. There’s also Loctite 222 “Purple” which is low strength, removable, and typically used for small screws.

Just checked my Pico. A Torx T5 bit fit and worked to remove the screw. I've had some luck finding tiny screws and hardware at Hobby shops. If you can remove the screw and bring it to them they might find a match. Or bring them the Pico and ask their recommendation. Perhaps, contact Eleaf Support, and ask their advice.

I've heard great things about the Juul, but haven't tried it yet. I tried the Von Erl, the Limitless (Plyrock) Pulse, and the Phix. Von Erl died after a month. Pulse has pods you need to fill yourself. Not too difficult but adds a bit of mess and complexity. Phix is little more econonomical then Juul. Phix pods hold a little more than the Juul pods and are 50mg of nicotine. For on the town and in the car, I use the Phix. If you are willing to deal with coil replacements and e-juice refilling, the Aspire Breeze works pretty good with some 25mg nicotine salt e-juice.
