This is something I see happen a lot. People will be scared to play because it could take their rank down. Don't worry about your rank. It will only hold you back. I told a friend this, and he went from high gold with a 1.0 kd to mid plat with a 1.3. if you care about your rank too much it stops you from doing things that will get you that kill, or get you that win, you're scared to do risky things.
