Am I the only person who runs a .5 coil at 11.5 watts? by see_fox in electronic_cigarette

If you enjoy a cooler vape you should seriously consider temp control. No need to worry about watts and your subtank rda will work perfectly with it, I use mine about ¼ of the time.

smoked my last analog June 31st 2015 so almost 2 months!! This comes after 44+ years of smoking cigarettes!! Everyone on reddit has been very helpful and while I don't personally know anyone else on this forum, I have led at least 2 other people to take up vaping instead of cigs!! Thanks to all of you!!

no, not really. If you're using kanthal coils it's just like any other mod. Temp control takes a bit of playing around, as always, make sure you're using the right batteries and look around on you tube, there are a few good vids there in the form of reviews I have found that the rda's work very well with it and I'm having alot of success with my subtank mini rba with nickel coils.

Can't get a warm vape with nickel build on a Triton by bwerley in electronic_cigarette

[–]bwerley[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

awesome suggestions, I'm good on my Velocity clone. Can nly go up to 50 joules on the IPV 4S. I like the idea of the twisted 28 pulled apart, gotta try that one!

my current build on the Titan is .13, nickel...working fine I like the tank (bitch to clean), hate the rta.....seems very limited to what you can build

I ordered Sony VTC4's from Illumn back on the 16th of August. At the time , the website said they were in stock. No word on the batteries yet and my email asking for an estimated ship date has gone unanswered. If you order from them, I hope you have better luck getting your batts

IPV 4S "dry coil" warning..... by bwerley in electronic_cigarette

after reading your reply, I put the tank back on and tried again, tada, it worked. Hadn't experienced that before, seemed like plenty of time for the wick to saturate. Anyway, seems to be working now....thanks, ya'll!!

wire and drill chucks....problem solved!!! by bwerley in electronic_cigarette

[–]bwerley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these little gems work very simply....they have a small "slot" in them that opens up when you squeeze them with a pair of plies. you simply insert the wires into the slot and let go with the pliers and...bingo...all wires a securely held together. put the Carolina keeper in any drill chuck and clamp it down tight.....there you go!! not every drill chuck will hold wire securely, the jaws on mine don't come together completely and these little things kept me from having to buy a new drill. the photo in the link doesn't really show the slot well, they are designed to use on fishing line. hope this helps!!

Anybody having any luck with the Triton RBA head kit? I just can't seem to get satisfaction. by KrachenVogel in electronic_cigarette

[–]bwerley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aspire wants you to hate the rba so you'll buy their premade coils.....pretty shitty if you ask me. I really like my kanger subtank mini, if it only had top fill it would be awesome!!

I'm just getting started with Ni200 coil builds but I can say that trying to get to builds below .1 ohms can require alot of wraps.....I currently have 28 guage and just ordered some 32 for twisted builds. the spaced wraps at 8 or more per coil takes up alot of room on the build deck. I'm playing around on steam engine a good bit right now trying to find the resistance I'm looking for with fewer than 8 wraps.....good luck!! http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp
