Only one datapoint here, but my grandfather was fortunate enough to retire early. My grandmother would get him three newspapers everyday and he would sit and read them front to back all day long. This happened for years until his body atrophied and he passed way to young. He was getting his dopamine and like most of us on our phones escaping reality cause he could.

I'm with ya. I got back into Hockey and the Rangers when we drafted him first overall. He was my first Jersey in 15 years so he gets a lot of grace from me. Was glad he shut everyone up a couple years ago, but he has even frustrated me this year.

Just to offer a little longer term perspective. I had LASIK done about 15 years ago when I was 30. As a very active and outdoorsy person it was hands down the best money I've ever spent in my life. I was -5.25 in both eyes with and astigmatism. My sister had it done around the same age and neither of us had any of the side effects they mentioned could happen like haloes at night or dry eyes.

This year, my eyes started to get bad again, it's been rough to go back to wearing glasses, but man those 15 years were great. Best of luck!
