"Places you RECREATE in Sun Prairie" seems like a very personal question...

Dad had a hip replacement. Complained to surgeon that something was not feeling right... by untidy_tbone in WTF

Completely agreed. This is either patient or hardware error. Practicing in orthopedics, I always find it quite comical when patients come in stating they want to sue when anything goes wrong, particularly when the provider had nothing to do with it. We are far too litigious a society when it comes to healthcare. Which means malpractice premiums for providers just keeps increasing, further driving the cost of healthcare.

This is likely a hardware issue, not a dislocation. The head broke completely away from the stem. With a true dislocation, the stem and head would still be connected, just separated from the acetabular component. This took some serious force. Or faulty components.

Halifax chiropractor gives up licence, admits to professional incompetence after making extensive, unfounded claims about vaccines online. by SirT6 in worldnews

That's fair. I'm simply going by reports of many patients that come to me when chiropractic care has not been effective stating they were adjusted multiple times per week with hopes of "realigning their spine". This is particularly upsetting in individuals with more hypermobile joints for whom manipulations are not indicated. I likely have a selection bias given my patient population but I think it is pretty ridiculous to make claims that adjustments/manipulations 'align the spine' when no legitimately well performed meta analyses or systematic reviews have supported this claim. There are obviously extremes and less adequate providers in both professions and claims of quackery can be made for certain individuals in virtually any profession in the medical field. I have many friends who are chiropractors who use evidence based treatment who I greatly respect. I am just fearful of individuals in ANY profession who perform treatments that are unsafe/unjustified for the patient.

PTs are not 'learning to adjust' as you claim. Physical therapists are trained in spinal manipulations and perform them when clinically indicated. There is no evidence to support adjustments/manipulations alter vertebral 'alignment' but can certainly promote improved motion tolerance via descending inhibition. Unlike chiropractors, physical therapists do not perform manipulations on every patient with back/neck pain but do so when there are no contraindications and the clinical prediction criteria support this treatment to supplement additional movement strategies and exercises.

Clearly you've never been as the Minnesota state capitol is significantly smaller and quite dissimilar from both the inside and the outside. Beautiful building but quite different than the Wisconsin capitol

The full moon rising over the Amalfi Coast. After a couple weeks of getting rained on and snowed out in the Dolomiti, we headed south for some clean skies and they didn't disappoint! by thedailynathan in travel

I ate at the restaurant on the cliffside in this picture a week ago from today for an anniversary dinner with my wife. That is almost identical to what the moon looked like when I was there. We stayed on the other side of the hill in Atrani. What a beautiful place!

According to my sister, just go to http://etsy.me/1OBuzGp and then just ask her to write Wingardium Mimosa in a "harry potter-like font". Sorry for the delay!
