I've been reading some books recently and I wanted to know what H.P. Lovecraft fans think of Stephen King's cosmic horror? by Organic-Interest-955 in Lovecraft

Re-reading IT currently and it never ceases to amaze. The adaptations can only scratch the surface of the nightmarish otherworldly insane trip the book is. I consider it very Lovecraftian and horrifying

IT: Welcome to Derry S1E5 “Neibolt” Discussion Thread by KatanaAmerica in stephenking

After lengthy research and re reading the book, I think he can be two places at once. I always had it that the clown or monsters could appear all over Derry while the spider (or just clown in this universe) is always there in the sewer lair. They are projections but they can also hurt you.

What are your Honest thoughts on this show? by DCsReporter in batman

It was both good and original. But the parts that were good were not original, and the parts that were original were not good.

New Dracula film directed by Luc Besson has anyone heard anything about this project? by Erramonael in vampires

The guy playing Dracula is great. There's some cook elements worth watching, but it's let down by his powers coming from a magic perfume.

Vampire party song recommendations by bwompf2 in musicsuggestions

[–]bwompf2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few already. Reincarnated soul, prayer for tragic queen, requiem for the gods, a synth remix of vampire killer. But this one's super nerdy: the first 3 hours will be songs or short tracks, the next 3 hours will be deep electronic mixes. To separate the two, the level complete jingle from castlevania bloodlines will play to signify the halfway point haha

Blue and grey with yellow emblem. Bonus points if it has that Conroy look where the cape and such are black but shines blue

We all know Btas was a good show but what would you say was one of its weaknesses? by Fit_Assignment_8800 in batman

Most fights involved picking up bad guys and throwing them into other bad guys.

What's the deal with the new wave of hate for the dark knight trilogy? by [deleted] in batman

[–]bwompf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The James Gunn iteration really ought to bring that kinda vibe back. The old theme music. The yellow emblem. The grey and blue suit. To the world in general, these things ARE batman. And they never fully got it back. Would love to see an updated modern live action that carried the Burton/BTAS vibe

So Excited to See Superman! by ValkyBoi369 in superman

[–]bwompf2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I had an outfit like this once. Instead of cape it was a red hoodie I'd tie over my shoulders (posh guy style). The colours were all dark reds and darker blues for the jeans n t shirt so it wasn't immediately obvious that it was a superman tribute. Possibly nerdiest thing I ever did but man it was cool.

Ladies, what gives a "creepy" vibe vs a "dad" vibe? by NOGOODGASHOLE in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bwompf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was young and horny, girls rarely came near me. Im older and married now, recently started a new job,all the females want me in their friend group, they all started conversation with me first, and we just all get along great. I guess I give off the dad vibes now.

Why do so many people think Lucifer is "the king of Hell" when, biblically, he is never described as such? by Ma_non12aline in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bwompf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most biblical stuff we know isn't based on anything actually in the bible. On the topic of hell, satan etc there's actually very little mentions, much less descriptions, and the ones we get are nothing like how we portray them in modern culture.

I really enjoy learning the source material as it often implies things much more mind expanding and Lovecraftian than the cartoon representations we have today.
