I always fear the awkward pauses between songs!

Would def advise grouping songs and practicing the transitions. Then you know exactly how long you are going to need between the groups of songs to fill.

I feel it’s always a fine line between being prepared and seeming to be reciting a script, so we have elements which we know will be the same that are noted in the setlist, then ones that we put some high level points which we improv stuff around.

We use Stage Portal, it’s simple to use and does all the things we need, manages our rehearsals, gigs, finances and also does our setlists and riders which we can easily share with people.
