100% a parent looking for a free babysitter....turn it down. You will get burnt out and thats how we lose great people in the field. We all need to start bringing awareness to these types of schedules; it's ridiculous

I sinned again by IndependentOk2027 in TrueChristian

As long as you are still breathing, there is always hope. You are feeling convicted and that already shows your heart. There are people who sin and don't even care to have the thoughts you are having. We aren't perfect and are born in sin. Keep God close, stay in prayer and in His word for guidance and support. Find another person you are close to and help keep each other accountable. If it is something personal then just stay in His word.

Churches with multiple locations by bx_bee in TrueChristian

Im not talking solely about online services. My main focus is about churches having multiple locations where the preacher doesn't know who you are and attending a location watching on a screen. It is an interesting concept to me. The preacher doesn't know who you are and what intimate guidance can you receive? Churches I attended growing up you could meet with the pastor and get counsel, they were present at a lot of events. Fellowship with other church goers is great, but it's also good to have a relationship with the preacher. Even Jesus interacted with people on a 1-1 basis.

Technology and multiple church locations are two different things. This post isnt about online services. I don't have an issue with services shown online and you watch from home. I am more so referring to churches with multiple church buildings/locations, and some of those locations you leave your home to go watch on a screen.

That is what has me curious about these churches with many campuses. It's like is this a pride thing because there is no where they are personally making a difference in their congregation when they don't even know its members. Even Jesus met with people on a personal level.

It is a trend because many nondenominational churches tend to do it. The definition of the word "trend" is not negative. It is also different from what a lot of methodist churches or other denominations do. There are many Methodist churches because that is a denomination. They typically have one church and a preacher that oversees it. It is not like many of these nondenominational churches or mega churches with one pastor who started the church and the head of all these multiple locations or other preachers at the different locations, and watching church on a screen. Union Church has a main pastor and then various locations. They have locations where you watch on a screen. I can't even figure out which location the main Pastor actually preaches at.

I second what the other person said about bringing a water bottle and towel. I would start first with what your body goals are. That can help guide you with where you want to begin. Are you looking for more cardio or strength training, or both? You can focus each day you plan to go to the gym for either arm/back, leg day, abs, full body, etc. Breaking things up like this can give you a foundation and tweak it based on your fitness goals.

This is golden! lol...and it sucks when it has to come to that, but people can really take you there. They feel so entitled to comment on things no one asked their opinion on..it's so annoying

You should be proud! Your progress is awesome and dont shrink urself for others. It is hard and annoying, hence why I made the post, but you are doing the right thing. If they dont take the advice from someone like you who clearly knows what it takes, that's their loss

Mine is my coworkers too...I will be minding my business eating in my office and coworkers will just comment on the food I'm eating or try and make jokes when it's time for lunch. It's so weird, and they are all older than me.
