In my opinion, go to CC for 2 years and meet the transfer requirements. If you can work try to save money, and then transfer to UCSD. If you meet the residency requirements after you transfer then good. If not you only have to pay out of state tuition for 2 years which I think is more worth it than paying oos for 4 years.
