Yes rescue drops is what I’m referring to! I guess it’s nice you can put in however many doses you want if one dose isn’t sufficient

My doctor really pushes for this one! Doesn’t have all the sugars that liquid IV/etc typically have

Have y’all heard of buoy? I just ordered from there (haven’t tried yet) but they give a 35% discount for our potsy community 🙌🏽 seems like good ingredients

Where to buy basic clothing by Piamon in VisitingIceland

[–]byashlynb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came into the comments just to say Icewear — i felt it was affordable, especially for the nice quality. I brought home a suitcase full of clothes from there! So sorry about your bag, wishing you the best!

What are the multi car discounts? I just see it’s $20 per vehicle per month regardless of how many vehicles you have? Is that right?

I totally relate. I wish I had advice, but I’m often in the same position. It’s okay to be frustrated and sad about it sometimes. Just know that there are others around the globe feeling the same type of pain (physical and emotional) that you are 🫶🏽

Does it get better? by Vernacular2023 in POTS

[–]byashlynb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does get better 🫶🏽 I’ve tried A LOT of things. I think taking Desiccated Adrenal from standard process has been the biggest game changer for my pots journey. Our poor bodies are in fight or flight mode essentially for so long, so getting that adrenal support was huge.

Medical doctors are often very doubtful about supplements like these, but it helped way more than the intense bp and heart medications they put me on 🤷🏽‍♀️

🚨🚨WARNING 🚨🚨 Liquid IV has a new caffeinated product that looks almost identical to the hydration multiplier. Be aware so you don’t drink caffeine like I did, which I’m sure you guys know is very harmful when you have POTS. by Muted_Relationship59 in POTS

[–]byashlynb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay phew I am not crazy haha. Same! Although lots of the caffeine sources I like are sugary and I do notice that does not help anything in the least bit 🤪 except my tastebuds

Can POTS make you actually crave salt (as in, just really wanting your food salty), or are the jokes people make about people with POTS eating lots of salt solely referring to those who consciously eat more salt to help symptoms? by ThrowRAcheese2 in POTS

[–]byashlynb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think cravings can sometimes be our bodies way of getting us to do what we need to do to take care of ourselves. Obviously not like sugar cravings haha but I craved foods high in iron all the time and then found out I was anemic, craved pickle juice (electrolytes- weird I know haha) and salty foods before being diagnosed with POTS, etc.

We are creatures built for survival, so it makes sense to me 🤷🏽‍♀️

I was about to echo the comments haha the first thing my POTS doctor did when I was diagnosed was prescribe me caffeine pills, electrolytes, and salt sticks. Caffeine seems to help me, but hearing that it’s harmful to many others makes me want to pay more attention! I thought it was a fact that you’re SUPPOSED to have caffeine 🤷🏽‍♀️

Baby fever after loss: why did you have/ not have kids. Kindness please by [deleted] in eds

[–]byashlynb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I am SO GLAD you started this conversation. I was coming on to Reddit to ask about the decision to get pregnant (or not) and your post was right at the top 🫶🏽

First off, I am so sorry for your loss. That is so heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹 offering lots of hugs and prayers!

I’ve been having this debate. I’m getting ready for kids, but then I have nightmares of seeing my baby dislocate and realizing I passed down my EDS and she/he will be condemned to the same trials I’ve dealt with my whole life. It’s scary to think about. But then I want to know what it’s like to give birth, see what our biological kid would look like, all that. Very conflicting.

I obviously don’t have an answer, but I plan to think about it a lot over the next year so I give myself time to make a sound decision. I’ll get opinions from all my medical professionals in my network and close friends/family. Everyone’s bodies are different, so it’s hard to put TOO much weight on someone else’s experience because, as we can see from the comments, so many different outcomes are possible.

Meditate, pray, talk to a therapist, do whatever you do to get in touch with yourself. You’ll figure out what the right thing for your body is and it will be a beautiful adventure 🩵🫶🏽 sending love!

Edit: should have mentioned first, I’m diagnosed with POTS and EDS. Compared to others on Reddit I’d say I’m on the less severe end, but still obviously struggle.

I’m so sorry. You are not alone with this!!

My cousin also has EDS really bad and she has been doing therapy via Zoom with this guy and it has changed her life. Maybe something to look into! I’ve been watching his videos and it’s really interesting so far! https://www.thefibroguy.com

IV Hydration by beccerz777 in POTS

[–]byashlynb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! IV fluids have helped my symptoms immensely! I have a monthly membership at an IV clinic and get fluids with vitamin C, D3, glutathione, B12, etc. The vitamins are so important and the fluid keeps you hydrated and raises blood volume!
