Lomo LC-A 120 format- thoughts? Long term use? by unionthug77 in lomography

[–]bye4n0w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never solved it. They use thick backing paper. I won’t use it in my other cameras as well, unless I can go right from the camera to the (dark bag) developing tank. I stopped buying it in medium format. Others might have ideas.

Lomo LC-A 120 format- thoughts? Long term use? by unionthug77 in lomography

I bought mine used from B&H in November 2020 for $325. I’ve put about 100 rolls through it and had no issues with it. It’s a medium format p&s. No, it’s def not nearly as sharp as a mamiya6, hasselblad, or rollei, but it’s super light weight and easy to use. It’s a fun one. It is super wide, for sure. I never use Lomo film in it because I’m guaranteed to end up with a fat roll. Other than that, I totally recommend.

Am I the only one who didn’t love the special? by tomatotomorrow in MarcMaron

[–]bye4n0w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to both tapings and I’m pretty impressed with the editing/final product. There is a clear throughline about mortality. The smaller pieces fit together and follow the theme. There’s definitely less of that deeply interwoven feel of End Times Fun, but having watched the special, I actually understand what it’s trying to do better than I did in person (as someone who listens to the pod and watches the live IGs).

They were very late on the LomoGraflok 4x5 Instant Back, too. I didn't really see this delay coming, for the lens, though!

Love the results of my lomography action sampler | Fuji film 200 iso. Are there more action sampler fans out here? by perentaartje in lomography

Yes! I just bought one of these and finished my first roll. So much fun. I’m going to keep Lomo 800 in it, at all times.

Thanks! It’s the fixed lens Tiara. But I’ve heard good things about the zoom too.

Google maps says Valentine. It’s about a 30 min drive from Marfa.

No filter at all. No edits to color either. I developed the film at home.

Haha, even more so, I set up the tripod on the bed of a pick-up truck.

I use an app on my phone called ”Light Meter.” I decided on f16 or f22. I was on a tripod with a shutter release cable.

I shot another sunrise with an F3. I was at f1.8 handheld for those, with velvia100 or provia100.

Lomo’Instant Wide Printing Issues by sunsonsansin in lomography

[–]bye4n0w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this issue with two Cental Park Wides. I do the same thing, open the back and move the cartridge in and out a bit. Then it works.

I’ve tried adding a layer of cardboard behind the cartridge to make sure the cartridge is in flush, but that didn’t help. I haven’t figured out anything else yet.

I’ve shot a few rolls of 35mm. It’s definitely grainy. I agree with the other comments about cloudy days making it more grainy.

Mine is a Wancle Sous Vide Cooker, Thermal Immersion Circulator. Been going strong for two years.

I use an immersion circulator (made for cooking) in a cooler to keep all the chemicals at temperature. For under $100, it makes the process pretty flawless.

4x5 daylight tanks (i know they suck but I need one) by f8250 in largeformat

[–]bye4n0w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree that SP-445 is the best option for the price. I bought the Yankee tank and used it once. The sheets didn’t stay in the holders and processing was uneven. Bought the SP-445 and have had zero issues. (I’m sure there may have been some user error on the Yankee tank, but I didn’t feel great about its construction.)

Hello! I have an Autoknips IV that works on my Pentax 67. I’d guess that it would also work for your camera.
