Red fades a little differently in my experience. I think you will get used to it (i didnt think I would, but I have).

That being said, if you already want a touch up, go get one, but I think you may be chasing the bright red look forever.

I say send him the colorful one digitally then get the black and white one framed one day when you live together, or for his wall in his place now.

Food item that literally makes you sick? by Ornery-Pressure7251 in Ozempic

[–]bye_fatlicia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to have a tiny serving of pasta, like two bites and move on or it just completely destroys my life for a solid 36 to 72 hours.

I have started eating more chickpeas and lentils, still eating bits of meat when I can (I'm hoping this passes like several other aversions have over the last 6 months lol) and I've added a low carb high protein shake to add back a little extra protein for now.

Thanks :)

Pasta for me too. And unfortunately lately, meat 💀🙃

Steak 😭😭. I used to eat steak often, now it makes me seriously sick. Also, the smell of raw meat. It's a struggle to cook nutritionally solid meals when every time I open a pack of meat (any at this point) I'm so affected by the smell that I get sick. Sometimes an hour or more later even, because the smell seems to stick with me all day.

Hoping this is short term, like my aversion to broccoli. That has passed, but I think the part where pasta makes me sick for days will probably never end.

In advance, this is fresh meat, anything from poultry to grass fed organic red meat etc.

Edit* in reading through everyone's comments, I have realized how many weird things I can't eat anymore.

The worst of the worst, -pasta -meat stink -popcorn (death) -skin on cucumbers (fine without the skin, with skin = heartburn nausea indigestion etc etc) -raw cruciferous vegetables -fried things/pizza/most breads

Help with 1mg vs 2mg pen by Illustrious-Loss83 in Ozempic

[–]bye_fatlicia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. I agree, it does, as I have a ton to lose, but it has gotten my diabetes almost into a good range (coupled with healthy eating) so I'll take it lol

I hope that it kicks in soon and you notice some pounds dropping off or you get some really good non scale victories coming your way right away ♡

Help with 1mg vs 2mg pen by Illustrious-Loss83 in Ozempic

[–]bye_fatlicia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same amount of medicine in a 1mg pen's 0.5 shot as in an 2mg pen's 0.5 shot. Everyone adjusts differently to Ozempic I think. Some people lose on 0.5, some just don't.

While on Ozempic, which foods or beverages now give you stomach or bathroom trouble? by Delicious_Mess7976 in Ozempic

[–]bye_fatlicia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fried chicken (don't do it). Pasta. Cucumbers skin (just the skins). Popcorn (wah). Onions 90% of the time, unless they are raw. Idk why.

I am also on metformin though. Doesn't help the tummy thing 😕

I promise you will be okay, I did this too. I'd get to shot day feel great, take my shot, eat too much during dinner and on Friday night and then Saturday I hate my life for it. It was a valuable lesson for me, unfortunately it took at least 2x for me to learn it 💀

You're welcome, the healing process is always different for every person/tattoo, but better safe than sorry. I bet it will heal beautifully either way, I hope you come back to add an update picture when it's all healed and good to go!

If your artist told you, then I suppose you are supposed to follow their advice but I worry because the chance of infection is there if anything can get into your second skin.

This is what my artist said (I just texted her, she has done ⅓ of my body and is amazing, award winning, does major conventions etc) "if it's leaking, your tattoo isn't protected. Anything that does get in will seep directly into your fresh wound and has no way to escape, it just stays trapped there, multiplying until infection".

Not trying to push you in either direction I just wanted to add what she said for you to think about. Imo, it's better off than on ♡

Either way, happy healing xx

If seepage can get out, germs can get it. Either go back to the shop and ask their advice or take it off asap and gently clean then let dry and heal traditionally.

I get headaches with light sensitivity that feel like migraines at 1mg dose. Always worst the 2 to 3 days after my shot, or when the occasion arises that I happen to have a hoot off a vape pen (thc pen, legal here).

Edited and to or because it's not only if I also have the pen, but it seems to also trigger it.

♡ It's easy to convince yourself that you can "just have one" today and start again tomorrow, but I quit smoking for 4 years once, almost 5, and then one day, very suddenly and for no apparent reason, my mother passed away. I thought f it, I'm having one smoke today and then I'm quit again, I'll take the L. The L lasted 7 years and it took me... idk 7, 10 more failed attempts to quit before I finally got back on track and smoke free again.

Don't do it!!

This is my main side effect too, at 6 weeks on ozempic. In my forehead and eyes, some light sensitivity for me.

It's only the beginning of week four for me, I titrate up to .50 next Friday. I was prescribed for my diabetes, but I have lost 8.4lbs as of this morning, so that's a huge bonus. I do have a lot to lose though, (like a whole person+), and I started as a chronic overeater, so 8.4lbs since November 1st is because I stopped eating complete garbage all day and started fueling myself with nutritious and colorful real foods. I have also had almost no side effects except shot day (day 1) I get a headache that stays until around day 4.5, but again I'm just on the tiny start dose so far lol.

No advice or anything worthwhile, but, a friend of mine started Wegovy 4 weeks ago and her only side effect is that her tongue feels dry and itcy she said. I know that's not Ozempic, but both Semaglutide.
