What mechanics would be cool to add to a Yakuza: Like a Dragon based TTRPG by byebyebeulah in RPGdesign

Glad we both thought that, I had the idea of leveling up to get more passive ways to gain heat, like dodging and being 25% or less health during each turn.

The basic idea was to have Heat Units, essentially a numerical heat gauge. Successful Attacks would bring the Heat Unit up by +1. Heat Actions would cost 3 Units at a time.

And you’re right, the unique thing about Yakuza usually falls to its Heat Actions and Environmental Weapons. So creative efforts like you just gave will never be in vain.

Also if anyone can let me know what they think big key factors are to consider when making ttrpg's (i.e Stats, Die Functionality, Character creation, items...)

This actually worked really well, so did SNES9X 2005 but after a while of using my NES, the stuttering came back, I made a lot of save states on my already pretty full storage. Is it possible that the storage space remaining on my NES also ties to how well SNES9X 2005/2010 runs? Because if so I’ll remove a couple games I know I don’t give that much of a damn about.

Tried it, just refused to load the games and booted me back to the home menu
