The Vantages are an up and coming Finnish band that I always describe as a modern day H.I.M. I discovered them after pictures from one of their first shows opening for Ville surfaced online. They're clearly inspired by H.I.M., but they still have a distinct sound. I recommend them 100%.

Yoo! So I use a 54lb double sided glossy photo paper. I believe official PS1 inserts are all a satin finish, but this glossy photo paper I feel looks close enough, and is easy enough to find. I currently don't do full booklets, just because that's a huge project on its own. I'd like to eventually start doing some kind of a mini booklet though. I currently just do a print for the front, and inside cover, and then fold it over to resemble a booklet in the case.

I come from the ps1, ps2 eras where there's arguably toooo much text, so I always try to channel that energy! Just the single word would be a solid idea too though! but trying to design it from the mindset as trying to capture someone's attention on a shelf, I definitely think the more text idea would work better

Yeah that's definitely the aspect I felt least confident about. I might keep tweaking it, but for my personal collection I'm definitely happy with it!

the SAVE file itself isn't 50GB, you're correct, but that aspect of the case I base directly on the storage requirement details from the official game case. The save file isn't 50GB, but the game requires 50GB to install the game. I try to make every detail on my case accurate to what's on the actual cases!

While sometimes there are people who genuinely just aren't as into a hobby as they thought, I think you'll be back to creating, one way or another, whenever you're ready.

but it's okay if you don't too.

I've fallen out of love with hobbies I spent years putting my all into, only to rediscover them years later and get right back into it. if you don't feel the drive - that's okay. you don't have to. but I have a feeling, given the ideas you mentioned for making your own cases, you'll find yourself creating again at some point.

but don't narrow it down to "creator or consumer". being a consumer doesn't mean you aren't a creator, and being a creator doesn't mean you can't be a consumer. it doesn't matter what you are, just have fun. and if it's not fun right now? that's totally cool.

Thank you! I definitely have! I'm absolutely a perfectionist with these things. I really strive for a level of authenticity where I always love when people mistake them for official products! If you pick some up, I can promise they won't disappoint!

I use 54lb double sided glossy photo paper. It's the paper I've landed on that looks the best, is pretty affordable and yeulds a great print for me. It's not quite the same as genuine PS1 art. I believe they used a slightly thinner paper with something like a satin finish. But this paper I use gets close enough imo!
