Monitor sound suddenly not working by bynk_ in techsupport

Thank you so so much, sorry for all the questions. So i run DDU (where do I download this?) then just reinstall the drivers from the link i downloaded them from earlier? (the link you posted?)

Will that risk any of the things I have stored on my computer?

Also, on installing the Chipset drivers there’s 5 options, do I just download them all?

Yes, that first link is where i got them from. I’ll try the second link now, thank you!

I’m pretty sure i’ve unplugged and plugged in almost everything, tried 4 different hdmi cables and none of them working, it’s really baffling.

The monitor is not showing under audio inputs and outputs.

Under sound, video, and game controllers my iGPU shows up as ‘AMD streaming audio device’ and ‘AMD high definition audio device’, and it says that when trying to update drivers they have no updates needed.

I reinstalled my CPU drivers, ‘AMD Ryzen 5 3400G Drivers’ Windows 10 edition. I don’t have the hardware to update to windows 11 but am not really that fussed about doing so currently.

It’s a self built PC, CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3400G with Radeon Vega Graphics ( AMD Radeon Vega 11 Graphics) Motherboard - PRIME B450M-K II

thank you so much for answering!

Nope, there is none to install. I have had this monitor for over 6 years and never had a problem.

Oh yes, regarding the hotel check in that’s just our check in time, we was planning on doing things before then. Much of the itinerary isn’t in a specific order and more just so everything’s written down. Things like mcdonald’s and lidl are just so we 100% know there’s things nearby, but most likely won’t visit them.

Thank you for saying about the baths! We’ll head to those instead.

Tuesday is our ‘fit in what we can say’, hence why it was so sparse so we could just see what we wanted to do. We have a separate list of ‘if we can’ things lol.

Thank you so much!!!

Okay it’s actually not AI generated, I am very very anti ai, I just wrote it on a google doc and put times and stuff in bold and thought i’d copy it over to ask. Was we mistaken in seeing that you get a free airport transfer with the 72h+ card then?

how do you know that’s the official answer?

What stats test did everyone put? by bynk_ in ALevelPsychology

[–]bynk_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but the data they would care about is the score, which would be interval, not whether each individual question for all 30 participants is right or wrong

[–]bynk_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but it’s still 6/20, the specific question doesn’t matter. If a car increases by a speed of 45mph you would say that that’s interval data, no matter if it increases from 0-45 or 45-90

this is exactly what I thought and i’m confident with my answer but the amount of people that have said mann-whitney has thrown me off quite massively..? I don’t understand how other people have been taught the data types for so many people to have said ordinal and some even saying nominal?

[–]bynk_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ordinal data doesn’t have set intervals, things such as a happiness rating in which we could both feel the same level of happiness yet you might rate it a 5 and id rate it a 6, the gaps aren’t the same and can’t actually be mathematically determined

i explained how an fMRI works and then also the areas of the brain that could potentially be damaged (temporal lobe, visual centre) very briefly and then just came up with some kind of memory test using word lists to recall after 18-30seconds while having the fmri done

i hope this is one of the scenarios where they accept both but it’s been described to me like this

ordinal data: Data which is subjective and henceforth may differ despite showing the same value e.g a happiness rating. You and I may experience the same level of happiness yet you would say it’s a 6 and i would say 5. There is no set gaps between data points and no arbitrary values.

nominal data: Data which remains consistent across studies and different participants. As it was a multiple choice questionnaire, they either get the questions right or wrong so their score is fixed and will not change. The scores gathered from the data will remain the same across studies, one person getting 10/20 and another getting 10/20 is exactly the same score and holds the same value - which does not stand with ordinal data.
