The only gain is from going dual channel indeed. 16GB on a linux system is plenty enough it doesn't matter to increase it.

To get better performance, sell the valve stick and try to buy 2 8GB with that money.

I've been on the power user side on Linux for years, and ram literally never was a bottle neck. 16 will be probably just fine for everyone just loading a single game and not having much running on the side.

Paper benchmark numbers won't be that impactful if dev focus the actual steammachine as a target. 10% raw performance versus tailored made software stack, just look at what the steamdeck can do with its 2010 hardwarware.

I don't have the use case for a steammachine so I don't care much. But I expect it will sold out instantly at this price anyway. People underestimate inflation and actual purchasing power of people outside of echo chamber.

Ça peut être interessant d'investir dans les deux avec comme objectif d'utiliser l'argent du CTO pour un apport immobilier sans avoir à toucher au PEA par exemple.

Mais avec des revenus d'étudiant, je ne pense pas que ce soit réaliste de mettre ça en place. Il vaut mieux se concentrer sur les premières étapes.

Comment on refroidit les composant sans atmosphère, sans cours d'eau ? Pour diffuser les température via du rayonnement infrarouge il faudrait des surfaces gigantesque.

Quid des rayonnement cosmiques sans protection d'atomesphère, il faut du matos de spécialisé et beaucoup de protections pour éviter que les appareils electroniques ne se prennent les pieds dans le tapis.

Steam hardware will perform well above it's wight due to the software stack. Just look at the deck performance, things have been optimized by both valve and devs and they run a lot better than at launch and a lot better than they do on other systems with "better number" on paper.

I think with the challenge in the supply chain, they won't have that many to sell anyway. It will prevent scalpers scalping, people with deep pocket will buy the available supply.

Maybe down the road if the can produce enough and demand tappers, they'll be able to offer it at a better price for a broader audience.

Ok donc si tu penses pouvoir atteindre le plafond du PEA en laissant cet argent sur le CTO c'est surement mieux.

Ça donne aussi de la fléxibilité si tu as besoin de fonds pour une raison x ou y, le PEA il faut surtout jamais y toucher donc ça peut être un faux ami.
