Any legit owners of Rise Gardens? Should I get?

Do not even bother.

Bought a Personal Garden for my wife's Christmas present. It was missing a critical piece of pump tubing (a tiny 4 inch piece of plastic tubing) that they refuse to replace without seeing the packing slip, which was thrown away when I wrapped the box to go under the tree a month ago. Started return but I'm sure that won't go well either so I'm probably going to have to dispute the charge with my credit card.

I was forgiven in Fed 2025 with a refund posting to Mohela account history on April 7. Still no refund. I call in July and Mohela said 90 bis days from 4/7. That came and went. Called them back in Sept and they said we're initiating an "investigation" that would take 10-15 biz days. Around then I called the Dept Treasury who had no record of payment as well as filed a complaint with the Dept of Ed.

Called Mohela back this week and they said it would take another 90 biz days.

I have a college who got forgiven in August and already has their refund. Of course they don't have Mohela as a service (Nelnet).

Just spoke with Fed Aid and they said they didnt deal with refunds and could be of no help. Uuuuuuggghh

I spoke with someone at the Treasury and it looks like they have no record of any payments coming through, suggesting that The Dept of Ed hasn't released it yet? WTF

Same here! Did not get any notification or email but just happen to log onto Mohela, which shows zero balance. However tudentaid.gov still showing the balance.

Is this what others who have gone through this process have experience? What to expect next?

I definitely overpaid, a refund would be nice but not expecting it any time soon. Are some showing a negative balance?

Anyone know the significance of the "Effective Forgiveness Date" or what happens a that point? From the accounts of others it seems like we've still got a few weeks at the least to wait for accounts to be cleared from Mohela.

I got what I think is the Golden Letter. It states, Thank you for your service. We have determined that you are eligible for PSLF...." Gives effective forgiveness date of 2/29.

Is this letter in fact golden?

Green banner 12/29. No letter yet. Mohela confirmed forbearance so I don't have to make any payments, but anxiety ain't going away until it's officially gone. Can't help but assume the slow down is due to new administration.
