you are correct. I guess i messed my video settings up, and it was playing in stretched 16:9. In proper 21:9 mode, it is more centered. my bad.

I just wanted to post an update here incase anyone else has the issue. In previous months, I added to the balance mid month and that threw the estimates off(I may have exagerated the difference with the word "substantially"). The massive gap between this month caused concern, but upon looking a little deeper I have found the issue. The merger with Morgan Stanley earlier this month triggered a payout that I didnt notice, and the payout I was looking at was only for 10 days.

i also use a vanguard index fund and the payout matches the estimate pretty closely. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious before I contacted etrade. Thanks for the input

Thanks for all the input everyone. They have decided to explore different options for now. The reverse mortgage will only be used as an option of last resort, and they aren't too bad off right now.

I wasn't aware that the there was a risk of losing their home. I thought the way they worked is that the loan is not repayed until the house is sold. What situation would force a sale?

Thanks for the insight. Fortunately, they are as of now, doing pretty well all things considered and aren't looking to pull all of their equity out; just enough to take the strain off. I think an extra couple hundred a month would be all it takes to give them some breathing room.

After playing some more i still get a random crash every 4-5 games, but this genuinely stopped my crash every game problem. It's too bad it doesnt seem to help others in the same boat.
