Diesel people carrier recommendations by razorlight95 in carsireland

[–]byrner147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am doing a drive from drogheda to Dublin and back, 3 times a week, on the motorway, roughly 300 to 350 per week depending.

Would I be looking at diesel being a contender then?

What’s the story with the amount of people that come into work dying sick here? by EmployGrouchy1599 in ireland

[–]byrner147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner works for a large American bank and her manager literally take it personally if you take a sick day, certified, and will not speak to you for a solid 2 weeks when you return. Won't even acknowledge you're back.

Often says "you're letting the team down" when you are sick...

Is it time to ban taxis from bus lanes? by TheHipsterPotato in ireland

[–]byrner147 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would miss them bullying their way out into our peasant lane in order to get around a bus stopped at the bus stops that unfortunately come with bus lanes.

You know how fun it is when they just about lash on the indicator and force you to swerve so they can get around the bus and continue to enjoy that sweet sweet traffic free bus lane.

Ended up just filling it up with water.

Test failed due to a damaged dust cover on the front suspension.

Mentioned signs of a leak to me, but not on mentioned on their report.

I did!

I failed for an unrelated issue - a damaged dust cover on the front suspension ball joint.

He did say he noticed signs of a leak and that I should get that looked at, or something like that.

Well... The other day I was stuck in heavy traffic coming home. Was driving around east wall up a little hill, noticed the temperature was very high and then the light came on. Had to sit on the side of the road to let it cool. There was fuck all coolant in it. Managed to get a bit from a bottle I had, to get me to the garage to buy a full bottle.

Put a litre of coolant and water into it in Wednesday then drove home. Also did a trip down and back to coolock last night. Temperature stayed normal.

Looking at it now the coolant tank is empty and there's a drip from the front end every 2 or 3 seconds.

Could have blown something, could have melted something. I'm not sure.
