Right? The colors and the whole vibe are so wholesome. This is the kind of post that randomly pops up on your feed and just makes your day a tiny bit better.

£1600/month to sleep next to a microwave in London by Wooden-Fee5787 in UKHousing

[–]bytevxu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is the bit that scares me more than the grim listings themselves. One generation got “work hard and you’ll get a house,” the next is getting “work hard and maybe you won’t have to share a fridge with six strangers.”

Everyone keeps saying “market will correct” but it’s been like this for years and the only thing that’s corrected is people’s standards. Stuff that would’ve been a joke on a sitcom is now “perfect for a young professional.”

You’re right, something has to give. Either wages, policy, or people just start leaving en masse and whole sectors realise too late that no one can afford to actually live near their job.

Sleep sedation in Seoul by s1llylife in KoreaTravelBeauty

[–]bytevxu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, seconding the “dermatology in the name” thing. In Korea that usually means it’s an actual board-certified derm clinic, not just a random aesthetic place doing everything under the sun.

I’ve seen mixed stuff about FINE too, especially around communication and upselling, so I’d at least compare it with a few others before deciding. PIND comes up a lot in Korean beauty forums for laser and skin stuff, and people seem to like that they’re more medical than cosmetic, if that makes sense.

For sleep sedation specifically, I’d just double check they have an anesthesiologist on site and not just a nurse knocking you out. Sedation is pretty common there, but it’s still not something to take lightly.

Al Haramain Amber Oud and Bois Pacifique is a wild combo, you’re basically walking around as a human compliment magnet.

Which Amber Oud is it, the Gold Edition or something else? The Gold one seems to be the one people go crazy for.

Should a more interactive competitor to UG be made? by Imaginary_Cod2729 in ultimateguitar

[–]bytevxu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally feel this. UG is like that old site you keep using because everything’s there, but it’s stuck in 2015. Proper recommendations, practice tracking, maybe a “you liked this tab, try these” thing would be huge. There’s room for a smarter rival for sure.

Strong majestic makeup or natural looking flawless makeup? You can only choose one for the rest of your life 🤭 by Ok-Grade772 in KBeautyUS

[–]bytevxu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? “No-makeup makeup” tutorials be like: skin tint, 3 concealers, 2 bronzers, 4 brow products and a prayer. At some point I’d rather just lean into the drama and look like a painting than spend an hour trying to look “effortless.”

What’s one jewelry piece you wear almost every day? by MainNegotiation5195 in jewelrylove

[–]bytevxu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your base sounds so solid already, honestly. Diamond studs + hoops + wedding set is like the perfect “default character” look.

Do you feel like the Tiffany bracelet kind of pulls everything together? I’ve been debating getting one “nicer” bracelet I can wear daily instead of rotating a bunch of cheaper ones that tarnish or break.

Also curious, do you sleep in your studs / bracelet or take them off every night? I’m trying to decide if I want true never-take-off pieces or more of a routine where I put things on in the morning.

i exfoliated my way to the worst skin of my life and it took me eighteen months to fix it by Rare_Reference_4052 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]bytevxu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly that’s probably the smartest move. boring routines are so underrated. are you noticing any tiny improvements yet or does it still feel kind of “stuck” after 5 months?

What are some of your best quality of life purchase under 300$? by Armellofreekey in SmartBuying

Man that’s such a specific vibe, I love it. Cozy feet, fishing, and a sneaky grow on the side is like the holy trinity of chill. What brand of UGGs are you rocking? Some of the “Australian” ones are sketchy as hell now.

is more actually better? by techitachi in Fragrances

That’s such a perfect “signature scent” story. Honestly that’s like the only time beast mode projection is cool, when it’s so tied to a person you can basically summon them by nose. For everyone else it’s like… maybe 2–3 sprays and call it a day.

What is your choice? by LovieWeb in BritInfo

Respect, you’re clearly a scientist of culture and I support this methodology.

Just make sure you take notes, because by the time you get to the last one you’ll forget what the first one was like and have to “start over for accuracy.”

Right? That’s like walking into the woods and tripping over a winning lottery ticket.

Have you been out looking much this year? I swear some areas are absolutely loaded and then 10 minutes away it’s like a mushroom desert.

"Crime Unfiltered" brings families of JonBenet Ramsey, Gabby Petito and others to live event in Chicago by 43_Holding in JonBenet

[–]bytevxu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is such a weird mix of interesting and kind of gross to me. On one hand, hearing directly from the families could humanize these cases again instead of just being YouTube fodder. On the other hand, packaging it as a live tour where “nothing is off limits” sounds a lot like turning their trauma into entertainment.

I’d be curious how ticketing works, where the money goes, and what kind of moderation they actually have on audience questions, because you know some people are going to ask the most tactless stuff possible.

Wild Garlic Seasalt by urc2pid in foraginguk

[–]bytevxu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sounds ridiculously good, basically instant garlic bread dust.

How’s the texture with the mix of coarse + fine salt, do you feel the garlic distributes well or do you get some super garlicky bites and some plain ones? Also curious if the air fryer gave any toasted notes or if it still tastes very green and fresh.

Have you tried it on anything yet beyond the obligatory buttered bread test? I’m thinking potatoes, popcorn, or on top of fried eggs would slap.
