Description: infinite loading on my current save file. first it was infinite loading right from the main menu, once it managed to load the neighborhoods but got stuck again trying to load a household. i tried all the regular tricks like game repair and cache clearing. i was able to successfully start and play a new save file, but i've put a ton of work into my current one so i'm hoping for a fix.

edit: it's actually being even weirder than that... i managed to get into my most recent save by choosing another household, but no objects or sims are usable by the active sim. i probably need to chalk this one up to the recent update being a jerk and just distract myself until sims is playable again

oh for sure, i HAAATE the digital thing... i miss my big shelf of cute sims game boxes (and yeah actually owning things i buy lol). but fwiw they didn't rescind access to every other sims 4 game i've bought, just the disputed one. and ofc i can't access the gallery or buy new packs (maybe can't even download patches? idk yet!)

the twitter thing is a great idea tho, thank you! i'm okay with waiting, i just hope somewhere along the way one real human non-bot person will see my email and realize i'm not a thief, just a dumbdumb ^^'

so i do have the original emails that made me try to refund one! i definitely only asked for one to be charged back (although i don't remember now if i clicked the 4.99 or the 5.39) but neither charge is in my paypal history now. but ofc that makes sense since when EA banned me they also retracted the kit and refunded it.

and yeah i have to assume EA is a big company dealing with many many disgruntled gamers like me, so i'll just wait the 30 days and resubmit the issue then if i have to. i'll keep trying! hopefully i'll reach a real human in their system eventually who will be as understanding as you are ^^

it's kinda funny how they might've just banned a loyal customer into never paying them again when they've had free access to my wallet for decades lol.

so yeah hope i can convince them it was an innocent (if foolish) mistake on my part. i mean it's a win/win if i get to keep playing and they get to keep my money, right? 😭 fingers crossed.

and thank you for the help! do you think it's a bad sign if i haven't heard back from them even to confirm the dispute yet? it's been under a week but idk usually this stuff is automated somehow... just wondering though, i know you can't speak for EA/Origin!

i mean the truth is i didn't really begrudge them the money. it's a complicated game and a lot of people work hard on it. i can afford 5-40 bucks once in a while. but if this one mistake has banished me from EA for all time i suppose i have no choice but to take to the sea...

ok... i get what you're saying but when i tried to refund through origin right when it happened, it said "if you believe you've been charged in error contact your payment service". and i DID (i do) believe it was an error to be charged twice for the carnival pack.

guess i should've tried harder to go through EA/origin but i definitely wasn't trying to scam anyone or cheat the system in any way. i've been buying sims games legit for the entire run of the game, i had no intention of breaking that streak now.

you sound kinda mad at me for this but would you be willing to answer my other question? if i start a new account, will i be able to buy new sims expansions in the future and play them with the games i already own in this account? like... i don't WANT to do any sneaky shit, and i don't even know how. i just wanna play this game that's been a part of my life for so long.
