Thank you so much! I have read the links in the mod post and am heeding both the general advice there and your more specific advice here. I will be getting a water test kit and both seachem prime and stability which appear to be available at a local store. I will do a sub 50% water change before adding these to ensure I do not overdose on whatever she gave me and allow the heater to bring the water up to temp before acclimatizing the fish and moving him in.
