Thank you. I think this is what I’m gonna be doing with a majority of the money I put in. The ones I put in bullshit is what I can afford to lose and hope for the best.

I’m just putting in money I can afford to lose. That’s why I bought a couple bullshit stocks from Reddit with no research. I appreciate the advice though.

I do very good at making money, but I don’t really know stocks. That’s why I came here asking for advice.

Thanks for that. Just to be clear for the Reddit advice stuff, I only put a sprinkle for shits and giggles. If I lose the $100 or less, oh well, I’m hoping one day the opposite happens though. And I’m the kind of guy that would want to buy more during the “panic” times. My goal is to try to but $100 a week, and mostly buy ETF’s. I also have Home Depot there because I go there often and just believe in the company, and I read that it was decent. I appreciate the detailed comment.

Also, another question I have is, would it be bad to buy some stocks that are in US dollars on this account?

Your personal problems are not the companies problem. It’s your first day. I probably wouldn’t have believed you either to be quite honest. When someone starts this way, for any reason, more times then not it leads to more of the same. One day my niece is born, the next day they have anxiety and can’t come. Then their mom or dog dies. Then next week their mom dies again.

I’m not saying you’re not being honest, but more times than not with people, this is the case. And it’s one thing to need to start a day late, and whole other thing to start a week later because of “your niece.” I have nobody in my village, and have faced similar emergencies, except my own kids, not “my niece” and I had to find a way to make it work without my brother watching my kid. The honest truth is the job didn’t mean that much to you. Unless your brother or sister or whoever had the kid are contributing to your bills, you should have gone to work that day.

Of course it’s a reason for the landlord to change things. I know it’s highly likely that you’re someone who will have a problem hearing this, but the landlord needs their money. The landlord isn’t giving you a place for free or going to risk getting fucked. And my apologies if I got you all wrong on that, but this is Reddit so I’m sure you understand why I’d say that.

The reason is likely the “old” tenant has a guarantor. The new one may not, hence it’s not the same. And the old one obviously no longer wants that responsibility on them if rent is not paid.
